The argument here is not about who has more tackles or sacks or TD's or whatever. The Allen fans just want Peppers to play as hard as Allen. Didn't you hear Beason's interview, he said he could care less how many tackles or sacks that Peppers gets. He just wants him to give full effort every time he is on the field.

Did he do that this week? It appears so, I could see him trying very hard on many many plays. Did he do it against Dallas or Atlanta, I personally don't think he did...

The thing about Peppers is, and I think we all agree, that if that guy tries hard, he makes big plays. We just need him to try hard more often, can we at least get maximum effort for 1 million plus a game. Are we asking for to much, I don't think so?

No, I actually get what you are saying and I totally agree with you. Against the Falcons and Cowboys Peppers was bad and not into the game at all. He does have issues with motor and heart and whatever else you can call it but that has been Julius Peppers from day one. I actually remember wanting Quenton Jammer because of how people used to say Peppers took plays off in college. What you have with Peppers is what you will get. He doesn't "love" the game and he doesn't play as hard as he should or could.

The only point that I'm trying to make is that people were so into Jared Allen based on the 4 sacks he had against the Packers and so down on Peppers because of the lack of sacks. Peppers does more than people think and while I don't always like watching him play he is a great player, one that is more "talented" than Allen. If he had Allen's motor Pepper would be absolutely unstoppable, but thats because of how much more talented he is physically. Thats the point, can we all agree on that or no?

I'm just messing around guys...don't go nuts. It just shows that everyone has good games and everyone has not so good games. Allen is a good defensive end but to think he plays like he did last Monday every single game is crazy.
