Kuechly needs to step up

Let's face it, not his best performance against the Saints.  He was playing poorly in coverage on multiple 3rd down conversions.  He got blocked on the long run by Ingram.  He didn't' seem to have his A game recognizing what the Saints were doing, especially in the run game.  I look for him to bounce back, rally the troops against the Vikings and shut them down.

Bruh, Luke Kuechly is the least of our worries on defense. He didn't have a good game , but by god everyone around him was gutter trash for the 2nd week in a row he cant do it all by himself.

How about every other LB and secondary member yesterday who were constantly out of position and leaving guys wide the fug open on long plays for the 2nd week in a row? How bout the dline that doesnt get pressure consistently? Not to mention all the offensive miscues and terrible coaching that left the defense on the field way too much

Hes not going to make Worely , Seymour , Bradberry , Coleman, or Adams cover any better or tackle any better, or make any of our corners actually start catching and not dropping interceptions. Our defense woes are well beyond Luke right now.

He plays poorly once he notices his teammates aren't playing to the level they need to be. He tries to do too much and cover too much. Luke doesn't need to step up. His teammates do to take the pressure off of him

THANK YOU!!! /Thread!!

Simularly the WRs need to take pressure off of Cam and make these downfield catches and endzone strikes. Funchess had a drop in the endzone and Shepard had a drop very close to the endzone. And then Clay had a critical special team drop. AND rivera axed the potential of getting more points before the half, AND Worely dropped a critical INT.

The coaches and the players need to help our stars (Cam/Luke) out much more. Thats the real issue!

The problem is he was trying to make up for the piss poor play of the other 2 LB's. So he was out of position a couple times that's for sure.  But the best I could tell he was the only one on defense showing any fire what so ever.  What killed us yesterday was every time we would get momentum we would do something stupid to shoot ourselves in the foot, or the refs would miss a very easy call to give us a first down. We have them stopped and Peppers doesn't understand he's 4 yards out of bounds we extends the drive they score.  Had them stopped kicked a punt to us with great field position and 12 botches it, give them great field position they score again that's pretty much what we lost by.  And that's not factoring in the botched punt.  They didn't out play us we just couldn't get out of our own way.

I didn't think he had a bad day...only LB that actually wrapped up the Kamra.

Luke diagnosed the first Saints TD but Shaq failed to wrap up....Luke would have cleaned it up.  Shaq wraps and that is a turnover on downs instead of 7

The big Ingram run, I am pretty sure it wasn't Luke that blew his gap.

Aside from that, he didn't fumble a punt that resulted in the Saints being in automatic scoring position, nor did he commit a dumb penalty out of bounds that turned 3 into 7.

I mean that was the first half wasn't it?  The other drives were 3 and outs.

Of course Kuechly isn't the main problem but he's  the leader of that defense and that's why I'm asking for him to step up his own play and and help hold everybody else accountable

That's honestly stupid. I see him snap on teammates all the time when they fug up. He shouldn't have to publicly attack his teammates every time they mess up just to make fans like you happy.

    • I like that a lot; Ware from Troy and also Khalil Mack who played at University of Buffalo
    • I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛
    • bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
