In a worst-case scenario, is Rivera safe?

Yea JR doesn't value winning he just needs a star or two to sell some biscuits. He basically cried when he had to fire Hurney the first time so he'll be here until JR is gone, same with Hurney. We know Hurney has less manhood than Rivera so he'll never fire him or even try to.

You can also see the random IR poo going on. With GMan you didn't see this now that Hurney is back he still thinks he's smart or something doing the IR game. It'd be funny if it wasn't sad. Wonder how bad he'll get fleeced in the draft this year, his KB trade fulfilled his lifetime quota of competency.

Too many built in excuses. Part of the reason Hurney is so IR happy.

I don't expect any coaching changes this offseason except possibly Wilks leaving.

I doubt Wilks goes anywhere.  His defense is struggling against better competition.  That is not going to get him a job.  He may get interviews to satisfy the Rooney rule but he's not getting a HC job yet.

As a main fan of this team, how do you get excited for games with this awful Coaching Staff and GM?  I just can't do it anymore.

All of you that think JR is happy with mediocrity need to look back to the Fox era.  Fox got nine seasons here, and was basically fired after year eight but had to work out his contract.  In those eight years he had three winning records and two years when we went 8-8.

Rivera is in his seventh year now.  He's had two winning seasons and this would be his third.  He's arguably had a lot more talent to work with as well.

Why will JR be more patient with Rivera than he was with Fox?

Imagine getting beaten by Minnesota and Green Bay at home, and then dropping the final game to the Falcons.  If this team finishes 9-7, do you think that Rivera will be back?

easily.

they aren't going to fire a 2 time COY because of a 9-7 season.  Rivera isn't great.  But are we sure we could bring in better?

Saints loss to me I put more on player execution than coaching.

Saying he will be back or not depends on what happens and how we lose or win. If we look horrible and the team quits on Ron then he could be and should be in trouble. But if for example Cam gets hurt and we don't do well or we play well and get beat by a clearly better team effort then to say he should go or not isn't as clear cut. That is why we need to not make knee jerk reactions or use sky is falling logic. We are 8-4 and these threads would suggest we are more like 4-8.
