I've never liked this reasoning, and we've always had chickenshit coaches that were too conservative and shut it down in this situation the franchise's entire existence.  I have no idea what it's like to pull for a team that has a cut throat and aggressive head coach that really likes to stick it to division rivals.

its all about that shield baby

I didn't realize interception is the only form of turnover mr. softee but thanks for pointing out the zero interception streak, quite impressive.

The only other kind of turnover in the specific situation that is being discussed is a fumble.

But Ron then proceeded to run the ball three times.

So, considering that evidence, which form of turnover do YOU think Ron was afraid of in that situation?  A blocked kick?

Would've liked to see a decent 15 yard pass play tried at least. If it works, you try to get into field goal range. If it fails, you simply run the clock out and can say you tried. To concede the possibility at all of getting points is cowardice.

we are the point of the season where Bersin is back and playing heavily reps....

so yeah, I got no problem with a defensive head coach not trying to work magic in that scenario and taking it to the locker room.  But just take a knee.  No point having someone hurt on a cloud of dust run up the middle.
