He also lost to the Chicago Bear 17-3. He coaches the only team with a "good record" who would lose in such lopsided fashion to a non-playoff team like that.

Gettleman wasn't anything special at acquiring talent. With every game that passes by,  I become more assured in that belief. The reverence for him stops with the fixing of the cap.  He left Ron---the team ass out by failing to address obvious needs in order to pay homage to his ego, awash in old school dogma. Of course "windows don't exist" when your head is so far up your own ass that you can't see them.  "You're never one player away" alright,  but what about two or three? Gettleman fell short at the moment the team needed him most.  He effed it all up.  Rivera arguably won despite Gettleman,  not because of him, even during arguably our greatest season.

I agree. he did nothing to improve the team after the super bowl loss.

Look,  I get the Ron weariness and the Hurney hate,  but if you're  gonna hate them,  then fug a Dave Gettleman too. The mark of his era at the helm will be one of missed opportunity. 

Do you know how shitty I feel that we essentially spent a lottery pick on McCaffrey while the Saints got Kamara in the third?  Oh, but Gettleman was the GOAT Evaluator Extraordinaire! Gimme a damn break!
