It's time to bench Kalil

I think it’s time to bench the coaches we come out and pass and march down for a TD then we go away from it to force feed a slow past his prime RB that kills every bit of momentum we had. When Kalil made that penalty half the team already pact it in. With the division on the line coaches are playing safe football with the most explosive team in the league and let’s not forget the poor game management. As a result player looked flat and were playing read and react instead of attacking these dink and dunk route they throw everyone wide open. If the coaches spent more time game planing as they did coming up with formations to motion out of we might see some results.

Imagine a world where Gettleman didnt bully Gross into retirement early, or release the best receiver in Panther history, or dumped our all-pro CB with no contingency plan in place before blowing countless draft picks on subpar players to fix his mistakes.

Just as people loved to point out how we'd see the impact of Hurney's overspending years after, we're now seeing what happens when you dump assets and waste draft picks.

The abrupt ending of Gross' career was crazy in retrospect.  One day it was our strongest spot on the OL and figured we'd have a transition period with him...and then pooof.  Byron Bell, Nate Chandler, Gary Williams, Matt Kalil, what in the actual f.

I thought Remmers was bad this guy sucks.. the only time he looks good is when McCaffery is putting an extra block for his slow ass!!.. a Left Tackle and a new power back for Stewart is necessary for next year

RB and good LT are luxuries in my opinion. I'm sick of seeing our secondary get burned by anyone and everyone,  I want upgrades in the secondary and an infusion of talented youth on the Dline.

Is he? How about our second round draft pick? I'm honestly not sure how much worse he needs to be before we try Moton.

Putting in a rookie on an 8-4 team sounds like a great way to be 8-5. We need to find a way to work with Kalil. If thats help in passing or running it more. Cam had a clean pocket more often than not yesterday. The penalties are killers though.

I absolutely agree. Far from ideal, to even consider starting a rookie when we are currently a wild card team. The trouble with that logic though is that, clearly we are far from a complete team-we have many flaws but 8-4 can always be used as a justification to not address those flaws. So how do we get better? Do we just accept the status quo and wait until the off-season? I mean I certainly trust that they are already working with Matt in training and giving him help. Or do we consider (risky) changes? Looking at the conservative nature of RR and the staff I would think that your summary is the likeliest outcome. Sadly.

Kalil sucks.  But I think it is what it is.

we should run Cam more.  Almost non-existent this week until the game got out of hand.  Also....how about some moving pockets and roll Cam out.  I mean our O is designed to have Pro Bowl caliber OTs to a degree.   We ask a lot of them.  Ask less.

Honest question outside of the Saints game I thought Kalil had been serviceable the few games prior to that?

That's true. But I always wondered whether he would have a repeat nightmare showing against Cam Jordan and of course next is arguably THE best pass rush in football in Minnesota. And, they know him well.
