Popular opinion here is NO is some backwoods craphole. I appreciate the post as it sets silly ass football rivalry and throws a bit of realism that NO is a far more historic and fun city that fuggin Charlotte~

NO is awesome.  Wouldn't want to live there, but certainly enjoy visiting.

I'm hoping to be there around 1:00 tomorrow.

I know the city of New Orleans gets pooped on a lot on this board, but it's one of my favorite cities and Panthers at Saints is always one of my favorite away game weekends. Where else can I go where I can walk bar-to-bar carrying my drink with me, eat plenty of delicious food, win money at a casino, watch the Panthers stomp the Saints, and get free victory beers afterwards from @saints4lifeagain all within a 10-ish block radius? Answer: nowhere.

Obviously this weekend's game is huge - no need to elaborate on that. What I did want to share is that we've been planning away game trips for nine years now, and I've never, and I mean NEVER, have had as many people reach out to me about a game as I have had about this weekend. If 25% of the people who have reached out to me actually end up heading down to New Orleans then it's going to be the largest trip I've ever seen. I'm fuging pumped.

For those of you headed down, here's a schedule of events so that you can link up with other Panthers fans in the area so we can turn the Quarter black and blue.

Saturday:

5p-7p: NoLa Riot Welcoming Party at the Voodoo Garden at the House of Blues

*HoB has given us the entire Garden for Panthers fans. Last year they hooked us up with some good drink/food specials and tossed in a great band. They take pretty good care of us

7p-Until: NoLa Riot Bar Crawl

*The local crew does an awesome job of picking out venues off of Bourbon St that are more local and New Orleans-ish, rather than the disgusting poo holes that you're inevitably going to be in before the end of the night. I personally stay off of Bourbon once the sun goes down and the amateurs come out (Think: @PhillyB at a Huddle draft party), and I appreciate the not-as-well-known yet iconic NoLa dive bars.  We'll be putting out the locations on Saturday.

Sunday:

12p: Roaring Riot Tailgate at Handsome Willy's

*This will be out 4th year at HW's and they're cool enough to left us infiltrate their establishment for this rivalry game. This tailgate is open to everyone - no ticket needed, just buy your own food and drinks. This is the first time we've been in NoLa with a flexed game, so this place is going to be packed out.

115p: Group photo

215p: March to the Dome.

*Handsome Willy's is maybe a 10 minute walk to the Dome and once you're at the Dome you get inside in maybe 3 minutes. It's not like BoA where it takes 20+ minutes at the game once you arrive because they have more than two entrances. You literally hop right in.

325p: Get loud for the boys

7p: Victory Party at Manning's. All drinks on @saints4lifeagain's tab.

9p: I'll be in Harrah's until my 8a flight

Will you be in the stadium, or watching from a bar?

Thinking about driving down, but I can't afford a hotel room or ticket to the game. Would be a long day for me, but it would be worth it to me to hang out with some fellow Panther fans.

Pretty sure most people go inside the game. Some may stay at the tailgate bar, but I'm not really sure. Sorry you weren't able to make it in this time and that I don't have a better answer for ya

You sound like you’re looking for a handout

Hell yea dude! I’ll make it to NOLA for a Panthers game one of these years. I agree, I’ve been to New Orleans many times, and although it’s a Panthers rival city, NOLA kicks the crap out of Charlotte in music, food, and overall vibe. One of my favorite cities.
