So here are my thoughts of our remaining 5 games,

1, We have only had one bad loss all year with our loss to the bears, and it was a game we had no business losing.  but because of that I cant count the other team out of any games this year.

2, this is the worst looking 8-3 team I've ever seen, and honestly have no idea how we are 8-3. Our Offense continues to look completely disorganized and have without a clue of what they are even doing 11 games into the season, and before you raise the Miami point, I have seen nothing that doesnt show that as anything more than an aberration because we have not shown continued success.

4, we are potentially entering Murderers row of our season, and possibly a tougher stretch then what we would face in the Playoffs.

@Saints, Vikings, Greenbay possibly with Rodgers(best team in the NFCN with Rodgers), Bucs, and Falcons.

You have 3 playoffs teams including a team that would probably be in the Playoffs if not for their QB getting injured. so basically 4 of our next 5 games could be against playoff level competition.

I honestly think worst case we are 10-6 and more likely 11-5 we are going to win some of these games, and it wont be a complete wipe, but we also wont win all of the games.  I honestly would be ecstatic if we finished the season 12-4.

I just hope we dont wear ourselves out too much just getting to the playoffs.

If you Think Green Bay is the best team in the NFC with or without Rodgers you have not seen their defense or running game.  I only know because I have watch them 3 or 4 times this year with and without Rodgers and have yet to see it either.

OH man here we go.... speculation.... The julio jones drop was not the last play of the game.... IF he catches that ball doesn't = panthers lose. Still plenty of football left in that game.

Thats why I said "probably". Other than the 14 points right before the half we didnt do much else on offense. Assuming we are able to score had that play happened  is also speculation at best.

Honestly, if we just look at what the team has done this year - we can conclude that outside of the Eagles, the #2 spot is wide open for all these teams. Look at all of their remaining schedules, no one has an easy ride into the playoffs.

You are right we don't need to operate off of the "Ifs" but we do need to at least use the sample size we have over the last 4 games to understand that this team has found ways to win. Also, outside of the Eagles.... over the last three weeks all of those teams have lost except for the.........CAROLINA PANTHERS. We should run with that, instead of picking apart our team.... we should honestly pick apart the other teams.

Saints- without their corners are vulnerable against the deep ball (hurt o-line) We have been ineffective with the deep ball this year.

Vikings- weak against TEs - mundane running game (hurt o-line) It's their defense that will ruin our day against them if we dont play well.

Rams- middle of the road run defense - slow linebackers Really, Ogletree and Baron are slow?

Seahawks - INJURED AF  Yea I dont see how they get in this year without a big collapse from another team.

Falcons - 28-3 (But seriously probably the biggest to fear out of all the teams)

Packers- If the packers lose one more game, what incentive do they have playing rodgers? Also, that Defense is horrendous #capersout

12-4. We lose to ATL.

The whole point of this thread is the perception from non-Panther fans predicting who we lose to. Dont get so defensive when it's pretty clear to understand why they feel that way. We still have been inconsistent AF and have yet to really put a full game together. My expectations are not as high as some but I dont wear blinders either. All those teams fans could put together an argument as to why they will get in except the Packers.

I agree, but then most NFC teams not named the Eagles have looked inconsistent at times this year.

That  being said, at the beginning of the season, I thought 10-6 or 11-5.  So far, we are about where I thought we would be.

I don't think I was being defensive at all. Matter of fact I agreed with you in my post. However, I offered counter arguments to the topic of the thread, to share why I believe there are items being over looked.

Panthers still win 4 of 5 games the rest of the way :)

I think the Panthers win all their home games, but drop both away, finishing 11-5. Saints go 4-1 finish 12-4 (wins against CAR, TB, NYJ, and ATL 1x), but also win the division by virtue of the head-to-head tie-break over the Panthers even if they do drop another non-Panthers game. Falcons go 3-2 (wins against CAR, NO, and TB), to finish 10-6 and sneak in as the 6th seed.

Honestly I don't see you guys winning 2 out of the 3 divisional games. Either you get swept by the Aints and lose to us, or swept by them and beat us or split with them and lose to us. Vikings beat you as well. 9-7 finish at best. May still sneak in though because the other competition for wildcard sucks now

I guess we'll see. It's been a Jekyll/Hyde type thing all year, but I'm still bullish on the home wins, especially against a Carolina team we arguably should have beaten in BOA.

Why should you have arguably beaten us? We won quite handily.

You won by a FG, and Jones dropped a TD in the end zone?

Jones’ drop is irrelevant. There are several plays one could say “if this happened...” about. You didn’t have a chance to win without an onside kick recovery, that is a safe win every time.

You're welcome to your opinion that a 20-17 victory constitutes "[winning] handily." I both disagree and think that the reverse fixture will end differently, but the first point is semantics, and we'll have to wait and see for the second. Not really much that can be argued further at this point.
