If your scenario plays out as described above:

1) the NFC south will send 3 teams to the NFC playoffs (half of the 6 playoff teams)

2) Carolina and Atlanta will play 3 times this season

3) Carolina and Atlanta will have to play each other 2 weeks in a row.

When would the 2x in a row happen? WCs don't play each other. They could feasibly play in the NFCCG I believe.

I was already corrected on that matter. Bigdog 10 pointed that out right ahead of you. Sorry again for the mistake. The original post has just been corrected.

No worries, and I just liked his post too. For all I know, the records (w/ the victories I specified) could have some sort of seeding mistake as well.

all of those teams are playing better than we are at the moment, so that's a reasonable assumption. but it's a week-to-week league so there is no way of really telling.

What are you talking about? We've won 4 straight games. Seattle just lost at home.  Cam has a sprained thumb and we win one ugly game and it's OMG everyone is playing better.

Do you know how bad we would have dominated them if Cam hit his throws.

I think we're a scary team.

Unfortunately I think Pittsburgh probably takes it down this year though.

We dont play Seattle so that has nothing to do with any of the teams we are playing.

IF? I mean if you want to IF it, IF Julio comes down with an easy catch we are probably only 7-4 and a much bigger hill to climb. Another problem with your worthless IF's, is that Cam's thumb IS sprained and probably effected his throws. IF Cam hits his throws most games we probably would be 10-1 right now but that is never going to be the case guy.

We can be scary IF a lot of things happen. Realistically we could go 2-3 these last 5 games and be 10-6. Hopefully we go 5-0 but I'm not expecting it.

I'd love to see anyone other than Brady and Co. take the AFC this year. But, NE has had Pittsburgh's number for years. Do you really think they are threat to keep NE from advancing to their 3rd super bowl in 4 years? If the Steelers don't get home field advantage I think the Pats will waltz to the Super Bowl...YET AGAIN.

It's possible, but AB and Bell are balling out.  I don't think NE is as good as in years past.  Obviously they're a good team. They just seem to be missing something on the back end of their defense.

Pitt on the other hand....their team has a similar vibe as they're other SB teams in years past.  As much as I hate to say it could be a battle for PA in the SB.

IF point taken.  I still don't understand the logic behind saying other teams are playing better.  There are a few but really after Phi, Pitt, NE, MINN, and LA...who else is? Even those team I think we have the ability to beat even IF we don't play absolutely perfectly.  Obviously we'd have to play well, but not perfect.

11-5 or 12-4.

Going 4-2 in our final 6 would normally be pretty awesome given how tough a schedule we have..., but given how tight the NFC race is, dropping more than 1 could be a problem.

So much hinges on Cam's thumb, and also Greg and even Byrd.  Our defense can probably keep us in most games, but vs New Orleans and Atlanta we need a solid offense too.

It's a week-to-week league so it hardly matters who is playing better. But I understand where non-Panther fans believe we can lose to the Vikes, Saints and Falcons, who I even believe are playing better(not that it matters) than us. And for the reference, I have not said anything about OMG we barely won stuff like you made it seem. I like when we can look at a win and find things to improve on. But I am also very wary of our secondary and wont let my Panthers glasses cloud that up either, all three of those teams can throw the ball and have receivers that can give us fits if we dont put immediate pressure on their QBs.
