My homer :Eggplant_Emoji_Icon_42x42: says 13-3. Beating the saints will be the catalyst for the path to the Super Bowl. AK of the Aints will be brought back to earth, MI will have no running room. Brees will not be able to pass as our rush will come alive. This game will be about defensive battles. Cam was not healthy in the first match up and will not be in this one but he will have his legs. Our ground game has to be better than the Saints and we must win the TO battle. We will and I am sure that RR even as slow as he is will have a solution for the Saints offense.

Yup the team will believe anything is possible if we beat the Saints at their place.

Based on how we've played this year I'd be surprised if we'd finish 4-1 down the stretch. I think 11-5 seems more likely or possibly even 10-6 based on the strength of schedule.

In our favor is the fact that after the NO game, the next 3 games (MN, GB, TB) are at home and then we close with ATL on the road. I think we have a legitimate shot of winning ALL 3 home games if we play our best.
That at least would guarantee a 11-5 record.

On a side note, ESPN's new power poll has us ranked at #8, behind Seattle, New Orleans, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, LA Rams, NE, and Philly. I can see the logic of the top 6 teams, but I don't buy the idea that Seattle has a better team than us even with a healthy Sherman and Chancellor. Both of those guys are out for the season and they have a worse record (7-4).

Are we being disrespected guys?

I think the Panthers win all their home games, but drop both away, finishing 11-5. Saints go 4-1 finish 12-4 (wins against CAR, TB, NYJ, and ATL 1x), but also win the division by virtue of the head-to-head tie-break over the Panthers even if they do drop another non-Panthers game. Falcons go 3-2 (wins against CAR, NO, and TB), to finish 10-6 and sneak in as the 6th seed.

If your scenario plays out as described above:

1) the NFC south will send 3 teams to the NFC playoffs (half of the 6 playoff teams)

2) NO will likely have to play a division rival (Car or ATL) 3 times in one season.

So here are my thoughts of our remaining 5 games,

1, We have only had one bad loss all year with our loss to the bears, and it was a game we had no business losing.  but because of that I cant count the other team out of any games this year.

2, this is the worst looking 8-3 team I've ever seen, and honestly have no idea how we are 8-3. Our Offense continues to look completely disorganized and have without a clue of what they are even doing 11 games into the season, and before you raise the Miami point, I have seen nothing that doesnt show that as anything more than an aberration because we have not shown continued success.

4, we are potentially entering Murderers row of our season, and possibly a tougher stretch then what we would face in the Playoffs.

@Saints, Vikings, Greenbay possibly with Rodgers(best team in the NFCN with Rodgers), Bucs, and Falcons.

You have 3 playoffs teams including a team that would probably be in the Playoffs if not for their QB getting injured. so basically 4 of our next 5 games could be against playoff level competition.

I honestly think worst case we are 10-6 and more likely 11-5 we are going to win some of these games, and it wont be a complete wipe, but we also wont win all of the games.  I honestly would be ecstatic if we finished the season 12-4.

I just hope we dont wear ourselves out too much just getting to the playoffs.

GB is not in the NFCW.

Number 2 and 3 are not correct. In his scenario the panthers and falcons are wildcards with one of our teams going to New Orleans for a playoff game while the other likely goes out west.

I had a brain freeze when I typed that. You are absolutely correct. Thanks for the correction.
