CMC cut inside again for no reason; cost the team 4 points early

You may have a point out there in the real world. But on the Huddle, folks post often enough to figure out who is who. And since we are on the Huddle. Your post is worthless.

No, my point applies especially(/only) to the Huddle and other similar forums -- in the real world, no one is assumed to have a 'troll agenda' just because they disagree with a particular stance. Here, doing so is a lazy cop-out.

Just pointing out counting stats don't paint a very good picture. Informed fans, if they're just going to look at the first google response, tend to favor YPC, YPT, etc if they want to get an accurate picture. Or, in deference to you, if they don't know what they're watching.

Like talking about the guy receiving top five targets have high YAC numbers is pretty pointless. A below league average player receiving far above league average opportunities is going to produce. This isn't a difficult concept.

I bet you loved the James Anderson contract.

If YAC was easy, everyone would excel at it. But hey, they don't he does. The kid has wiggle. Deal with it.

Targets don't guarantee success. CmC is being successful. They call it feeding the cash cow.

And now you are throwing out contracts? What does that have to do with how well CmC is performing? Another good reach.

Yada, yada, yada. Don't care what you have to say. This will be my last response to you.

He doesn't have wiggle at all. As a matter of fact, per pff or FO he's one of the worst in the NFL at breaking tackles. I don't have those stats handy but they've been posted before.

It's not really success though. The Panthers offense is putrid. It's bottom third in the NFL at its best. And as I've said several times, the best offensive performances for the team have come when they don't use CMC. And no less than Zod shut down the whole "influencing the defenses" meme.

Anderson was given out a large contract simply because he dove on a bunch of piles. This was before you were following the team, probably.

Too be honest. At least electric slide is only a troll. But he isn't calling folks retarded like that Sean Peyton dude.

You're not exactly shying away from ad hominem in this thread yourself. Some highlights:

"Don't hurt your arm stretching that far"..."Your post is worthless"..."Just so you can go herp de derp on folks" [basically calling him retarded, ironically]. Plus countless, unsubstantiated references to OP being a troll. To my point about 'low bars,' people tend to hold 'trolls' to higher standards than they hold themselves, simply because of a difference in opinion.

Then of course, when the going gets tough, cry 'troll,' give up, and then act like you're taking the high road.

The OP isn't wrong and its been a trend of CMCs in the open field all year. The kid has good vision at the line but in the open field it breaks down for some reason. Maybe he's just terrible at judging pursuit angles?

I like the kid overall however, unlike Fiz. I think hes being missutilized to a large degree, but I think he has high ceiling potential overall.

Humorous to see the usual "positive opinions only!!!!" Crowd have a fuging meltdown over an opinion they don't agree with as always.

There are a bunch on here. They post something silly to get you to reply. Then when you reply, they go all nuts on you. I like to rile them up, then walk away. They quote you for hours wanting you to come back.

Thankfully, there are only a few of those types. But, unfortunately, there numbers are growing.

Hard to believe the way folks act, that we are 8-3. But then again, some folks are here for the trolling, not the conversation.

End rant. Just enjoy those you want to, ignore the ones who drive you nuts. And GOOOOOOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Yeah, I have been around Greenville/Anderson/Clemson on and off over the past 15+ years. They basically care nothing about anything other than Clemson football. Greenville might change as that area has changed. Lots of people moving there that don't have the stink of being college football brainwashed.
    • This person is one of many who cover the Panthers and it seems they are very tight lipped right now.  I wonder if it is based on Legette announcing to the world last year that the Panthers told him they were going to draft him--then we move up to get him---That is kinda embarrassing.   As much as Moton's contract is going to hurt, it is the right play.  I was wondering if he was done (and they have not announced it) or if they might be trying to trade him before it becomes a bigger issue.  I left with the feeling that he is not done and there is no talk of trading him or extending him.  S/he did say that they are going to watch him for a year before making a decision.  If that is the case, I am like you--he is not going to heal at 32 and 330 lbs.  This is his last season in Carolina, based on my interpretation of the conversation.
    • I moved from Charlotte to Greenville about 10 years ago for work.  When I moved here it was like this.  The radio shows were all college and ppl only wore college gear.  I've noticed the last couple years more and more Panthers gear and there are a couple stations that talk Panthers now.  Also to be fair, Charlotte is a Pro city, but there are alot of fans of other teams there
