"We're going to try to do it judiciously," Rivera said. "We've got to save him from himself and save him from us. You get a guy like that, you want to keep him out there as much as you can. But just knowing his conditioning and football shape isn't where it needs to be right now. ... You don't want to throw Greg out there and have him go 60 plays. So we really have to be smart."

I wonder if this is true that he isnt in football shape or if this ruse to decieve the Jets.  I cant see them putting him out there if he isnt in football shape.

When they say, "football shape", think they mean....Week 12 speed, can he take consistent full speed hits, can he make cuts on that foot for 4 quarters without setback, is he "in shape" for 4 quarters of NFL football, are his routes "crisp"......etc....So yeah, think judiciously would be wise......Think it will take him a couple of weeks to get back to being the weapon he usually is. (provided there are no setbacks...Fingers crossed)

Olsen had a broken foot.. You need those to be able to run and keep up conditioning.

There’s many ways to keep up your conditioning with a foot injury but football game shape is different

The only guy who thinks a foot injury is an excuse to become a slob is Albert Pujols

Yeah, I'm sure Greg isn't that far off. I think he said they did that pool training a lot. But anyone expecting him to come back 100% ready to go is crazy
