So uh... apparently Ted Ginn fuging Jr. has the highest catch % of all WRs in the NFL

agreed. Cam hit him in the hands and the chest countless times and the ball fell straight through. But Cam's inaccurate yadda yadda yadda

Newton isn't as accurate as Drew Brees.  Anybody suggesting that is wearing serious homer glasses. He has his moments, but isn't consistent.  As has been said many times, he's more Brett Favre than Peyton Manning.

To be clear though, that doesn't excuse Ginn from dropping catchable passes.  He most certainly did, and that reputation was with him long before he came here.

But again, as has been mentioned before, Newton throws cannonballs while Brees throws Nerf balls. That's not something you can just discount.

When you have a guy with suspect hands (and any objective look back at Ginn's career would support that description) having a QB whose passes are harder to catch males it more difficult.  Again, that neither excuses Ginn nor faults Newton.  It's just reality.

That would be a pretty cool post if the same receiver were not on another team and...you know...balling out with another QB! Damn shame his hands were iffy with us. Maybe they have better receiving coaches?

A couple of those gifs are not very good seeing that Ginn has to do a 180 to try and catch it while running full speed. I personally blame Shula.

Why can't it be that Ginn has just improved? Accuracy or "touch" has nothing to do with this situation when Ginn has dropped tons of balls that were laid right in his arms and between the numbers by Cam Newton.  Has nothing to do with the QB.

Those are catches NFL WRs make. That is considered accurate in the NFL.  Anyone with a brain can see all of those should've been caught and had nothing to do with accuracy or touch since the throws were right on the money.

Agreed.Which goes back to my calling out the poster that said the CAM made Ginn. (may or may not be in this thread) rather than giving Ginn some credit for at least being serviceable. The whole point of the thread is to express surprise that he has the highest% of catches ( which really means little because in an offense like NO he is targeted what 10% of the time?)

But the whole point was to poo on Carolina for letting him go. All the while folks like the poster i quoted poo on him for dropped passes...but lament the numbers he is putting up in NO. Why? Ginn put up decent numbers here also considering the targets he got.

Guy, I obviously dont have a brain and I am a retard. I blame Shula and coaches and all players except Cam for everything ever.

His hands were iffy in Miami, San Fran and with Carson Palmer.
