Just as I thought in the game thread. I've never seen an intentional grounding called for a miscommunication from the QB and WR.

Hurricane Katrina happened a long time ago. It's time for the Saints to stop getting sympathy bullsh*t calls every game.

It wasn't a miscommunication. They had a run play called. He never audibled then threw to no one.

I'll be completelt honest, in my years of watching football, had no idea that pressure had to be present lol. I can take that L.

Anyways, bad call. Didn't end the game though.

It essentially did directly impact the outcome of the game, they were already in FG range and that caused yardage to be lost PLUS a ton of time off the clock.. Regardless though I won't blame the refs, the Redskins did an admirable job imitating the Falcons and for that they deserve full credit.

My goodness. The way yall post here, it's almost as if the refs didn't miss a blatant PI on Michael Thomas a couple drives before that would have put the Saints inside the red zone. Or a blatant facemask, so much so that it spun Lewis all the way around on a PR.

I know yall wine a lot about the refs, it's kind of your thing, but bad calls happen all the time (most of you still try to say Kuechly didn't interfere with Gronk). You keep playing. FFS they got the ball first in OT. All I hear are excuses.

Come on man this game was given to you on a silver platter... Skins left players wide open, Gruden play selection was stupid why take the risk in passing if u are already in fg range skins rb was gaining yards most of the game, and rfs bad call. The saints are playing good, but from what I saw in that game they are not as good as I been hearing from everyone.

That is what I had said before. That 2009 SB was a huge gifted sympathy win just to make Saints fans feeling relevant for once and having Saints deliberately hurting players to get to a winning season also with Bountygate.

Redskins shouldn't have put themselves in a position where that call cost them the game.

Up 15 with 3 minutes left and people are trying to blame the refs? Yeah it was a bad call but whatever the Redskins blew it like 28-3.

I agree it impacted the game. And in hindsight, was a bad call. I was at the game, and didn't have a great view of the play to begin with. They were on the fringe of FG range before the play. It would have been 50+ for a guy that has only attempted 1 in his career. Redskins killed themselves the last few drives.

I've never argued that the Skins shot themselves in the foot. In order to make up 15 points in 6 minutes, the other team has to suck, hard. But a wins a win in the NFL. And that puts us 1 step closer to the playoffs.

    • I didn't say much bigger. Watch the highlights I linked. Bryce doesn't have the arm strength and/or talent to make the vast majority of the throws Mac made in that video.
    • Tetairoa McMillan.   The last 28 1st overall picks were either a QB, DE, or OT. Seeing as I don't think we'd take an OT in the 1st and give up on Ickey as an LT yet and there doesn't seem to be a clear overall #1 type of QB or DE pick this year, it very well could be a non conventional #1 overall this year, at least in regards from the last almost 3 decades of drafts. If we didn't have Horn, I'd be more open to Hunter as a CB at #1, but we have him so another CB wouldn't be how I'd use a #1 pick.  And as much as I love Legette, if we have SB contending aspirations, I don't think Legette is a #1 on a team like that, but he damn sure is an elite #2 on a team like that.  He's more of the Smith/Higgins/Waddle to Brown/Chase/Hill (in terms of role/impact, not style of play of course). T-Mac is going to be the top ranked WR on every team's board in the end.  He is going to be a true outside #1 WR who is viewed as a consensus Top 5 WR in the game by his second contract in the same way guys like Jefferson and Chase have done.  His height combined with his speed, athleticism, and hands are near impossible to find all in one player, there is a reason his generally used comp is Mike Evans (although as he's not as thick, I personally see him more as an AJ Green). Yes, as an Arizona alum I've admitted to having bias towards the player to begin with.  But he's also someone very widely being put into the Top 5 in mock drafts lately and most of them have him as the first non QB offensive player being taken, so it's not really THAT much of a homer pick on my part anyways. If a QB or DE truly separate themselves as being a can't miss prospect come draft day, I'm open to that discussion, but until then, or if it doesn't happen, T-Mac is my pick 100 times out of 100.
