every couple of years the bills start out 5-2 or something and everybody goes "holy hell the bills are for real"

then they poo the bed and finish 7-9, missing the playoffs for the millionth time in a row

You would think people would learn now, ESPECIALLY Bills fans lol

Tyrod clearly isn’t taking them anywhere special and his contract has basically no guaranteed money left after this year. Might as well see if the rookie has got “it” before they go big on another QB in the offseason. It wasn’t likely to work but it was worth a shot in the dark. I don’t really think it was that stupid. It didn’t work. Whatever. You move on.

Actually, I am under the impression that with signing bonuses, and his contract. If he is on the team next year. He gets something like 16.5mil. People are saying that they don't think the Bills are wanting to spend that on him.

Tyrod will probably be a Free Agent this offseason. So McD decided to try out Peterson. Unfortunately, that did not go well for him.

He has like a $6M roster bonus due in March so they will cut him to avoid paying that. He has $1M left in guaranteed salary they will still have to pay him.

He’s a fine QB but you’re not winning anything with him so why pay $16M/year? That’s why I don’t really have a problem with what they did. Might as well see what the rookie can do after a somewhat promising relief appearance the week before when Tyrod sucked.
