Alex Armah

Our offense is much better with a true fb one who likes contact..Tolbert got to where he was going blind standing there looking around like he saw no one to block all along stew has been tackled and play over. 3 things i saw helped improve the offense.. Cams ability to run, CMC, and Armah which helped stew. Cam opens up everything when he is able to run. More reliable receivers will make this team deadly on offense..hint hint Shep steps up and Clay. Pass ball some to Armah as well and let him run.

Armah should have been keying on the linebacker from the get go. He has to learn to trust the online to do their job and who to pick up.

I like what I see from him so far and want to see more snaps. We are a running team and with Armah in at fullback I think it will open up playaction.

I don't think he expected the linebacker to be there. It looks like he was expecting a safety or nickel to fill the gap from the sideline when the backer came from the middle.

I listened to a few minutes of the Saints-Bills game on Sunday with the Buffalo broadcasters. It was 3rd and 1 and I hear them say, "They bring in big Mike Tolbert as the tailback."

It was at that point when I realized we would finish the week still one game behind the Saints.

I will be looking at the coach's film off and on today and posting items of interest, in particular the running game.

Right now I am taking a look at the reps Armah got as a blocker that saw mixed results. This play stood out to me. Fantastic blocking by everyone. Dolphins are just getting pushed around. If Stewart doesn't hesitate with that initial first step to his right it could have been a big gainer. Not sure what Stew is doing here.

Here is a play that really highlights Armah's athletic ability..

Alex gets up field and demolishes the safety. When was the last time we saw a Panthers FB able to do that? Good stuff.

If Shepard would have gotten a better block this could have gone all the way. S

He looks like a young more athletic Hoover in those plays. What a great find if he turns into a player like #45.

McCaffrey would've scored on that play.

If not, that would have been a 20yd for him at least. JStew is doing good imo. Our blocking has seemed to have gotten better.  With a bye week and a healthy Olsen coming back we are getting close to being back on all cylinders. By playoffs, we should be prime to have a run.
