Good god, the hate is just unbreakable. Pep's problem is showing up every week, this week he did - be happy and wait for next week.

I thought the most impressive play was a 2nd or 3rd and long, Panthers rushed only 3, Peppers had 2 or 3 guys on him yet he still scared the poo out of Campbell and forced an early check down.

anyone not giving Pep credit for making that safety happen is severely hating on the guy and should be ignored...

We could have invested money better than on Pep, there's no doubt... But the fact is, Pep made that happen. Denying that speaks volumes about what kind of person you are.

I must be thinking of another play when Campbell's blind side got overloaded and he barely escaped to his right and Peppers tripped him by the shoestring. I swear it happened, I wasn't drunk at that point.

EDIT: I was talking about the sack, not the safety. I knew that was blown up by Davis.

I think this is the same play I'm referring to, but Lewis missed the tackle that would have sacked Campbell in that scenario. Pep was there to clean up.

to which, Lewis had a decent game today as well (or parts of it)...

You guys will not be happy until our d line is comprised soley of JP and he gets a sack or TFL for loss on every play. He looked good yesterday give him some credit. Not his fault the FO paid him big money. Smart decision on his part.

If Peppers would have signed a long term deal this thread probably would not have exist. Since he got tagged everyone plays the blame game. The blame falls back on Fox and Hurney for tagging him. Hell were not the ones writing the million dollar checks each week so who cares.

We could go back and watch every sack in the NFL this season and find a reason to credit it to someone else. So its safe to say that the next time Pep causes a fumble someone will say Pep did not do it and that the ball just slipped out of the QB's hand.

Good to see Pep out there making plays!!

uh the person who made that happen was jim zorn when he called a stretch from his own 2

actually, the FB was more to blame on that.. He kept running laterally and never blocked anyone while Portis kept following him. Pep made the move and got to the ball carrier. He could have backed off and taken the play off, but I guess since he didn't, we have to give credit to someone else. Yanno, cause Pep can't do anything right.. If he does, we'll shift the focus elsewhere..

This has become their FB's M.O... he did it all game and is an absolutely horrible FB...

A stretch play which would have left TD running down portis from behind and the fullback on Beason if Peppers didn't shove the tackle 3 yards back.

This. I understand and agree with all of Pep's knocks against him. But damn, you all can't be more obvious with the blind hate. It's so thick in here I can't even breathe...

Actually, I just remembered what play you were talking about. Campbell got back to the LOS, so there wasn't a sack involved there. And Pep blew up that play to allow Davis and Diggs time to get there, FWIW...
