Last week was different though.

We won WITH our offense not in spite of them.

Yeah it wasn't a great game but it was a functional game. Last week gave me hope for this week.

We won with our offense? Are you serious? Do you know this guy, you plays on our offense named Jonathan Stewart? He put the ball on the ground twice!

We passed for 129 yards, CAM ran for another 86 yards. That's 215 of our 330 yards. That's not promising or winning with them!

Stats aside, the offense didn't sustain drives or put the game out of reach. That is not winning with offense.

First time in the history of modern football that scoring 20 points is winning with offensive. GTFO dude!

Except it is? Idk why you think us going through Cam means its not promising. If we don't go through Cam, Stew doesn't run as well and our passing game isn't as respected. We don't look as good offensively tonight if we don't do run off the read option and designed QB runs.

And that's what we saw last week. They ran QB Draws with Cam. We weren't constantly going three and out. Devin looked great as a focal point and Samuel was getting involved. We were running with success (Stews fumbles came on good runs), we don't fumble that's anywhere between 6-14 points right there fam.  We looked more functional than any other game. We couldn't even score against the Bears!

300+ yards and 32min TOP was very promising after all the horrible offensive struggles we've had this season.

KB was on the team during the Tampa game killer. So, what does that have to do with what I said?

I'm not hating on anybody, that's the point of my post!

All I was implying is that it's too early to declare the trading of KB as the best thing since sliced bread.

I never said going through Cam was I bad thing. I stated that Cam was the majority of our offense.

As anybody who watched SB 50 knows, playing against a great defense, which you'll have to do during playoff time is not a good idea.

We still have to play better as an offense if we want to win big games against great teams.

You can't go 4-13 and consider that promising.

Despite the turnovers against the Falcons this team rallied.  Night and day performance compared to when the Panthers played the Bears.

Tonight's offensive production was a franchise record for yards and the best looking performance they've had since 2015.

KB was a physical freak, but he was soft, slow and ran sloppy routes.  This team was and is better without him

Promising =/= Good.

Never at any point did I say was good or didn't need improvement. Last week was promising because last week we looked like a functional offense having a bad day. We beat ourselves on a few plays and for the most part the game was competently called.

Not...whatever the hell we were doing in games not against the Patriots or Lions.

Hell even in some wins we didn't look that competent (Bills game for example.)

But if you're mad about us going through Cam and not considering that "promising" you should be mad about tonight's win. Cam still had about 3/5ths of our yards. More if you don't count that flukey run by CAP at the end (not saying he didn't have a great game, just that last run nooooo one cared.)

Also the Broncos defense wasn't good. Texans defense is good. Our defense is good.

As an aside: Broncos seriously had a historic defense with almost no flaws and stars at every level of their defense and they had two of the most athletic and flexible pass rushers against our OTs who normally struggle against speed rushers anyway and we had no adjustments. There's no defense that can emulate what they had that year.
