Perhaps, but he was our most effective wide receiver.  Most of the few deep or clutch catches we have had this year were made by him.  Most teams would try to go out and get someone else to compliment him.  We release him and hope a rookie and a guy who had one halfway decent season can explode.

What stats have you seen that says they are average? Gruden spent a solid five minutes talking about how and why their defense is in top ten. The leagues worst offense hasn’t crossed their own 45 yet. Man what game are you watching?

In all honesty though, Shepard is not a good WR. Truthfully Bersin would probably make those catches. He has the most targets so far. Thats not a recipe for success
