How did Peppers play?

I have to admit he had a solid game overall. But 2 sacks a safty does not make that a good game for peppers. Peppers needs to be getting to the QB constantly all the time the whole game. I don't mean sack wise neither. A good player getting paid a million a game should be disrupting the QB throwing most the time. That is something peppers has yet to show even in this game. Even though peppers got a safty and 2 sacks. He doesn't constantly keep pressure on the QB like other good DEs do in the game on a weekly basis. Like Dwight freeny are Jarred allen and so on. Peppers this year has not yet proven to be that kind of DE.

Jared Allen and Dwight Freeny don't put pressure on quarterback constantly. It just seems that way when their teams are up and the other team has to throw to get back into the game.

Peppers appeared to put forth a little more effort. All we really need is 1 or 2 big plays a game from him.

Fact is peppers play half good agaist a Oline missing a few of their players. That is including Chris Samuels. But when it comes to playing agaist other teams like the saints and cards and pats. Pepper will disappear into the night with a million$ payday without trying. But we will see how peppers will respond once we play the cards and saints in a few weeks.

Why is that when Jared Allen had that monster game on Monday night and everybody was hanging from his jock strap that nobody wanted to discuss the Packers having their second and third string tackles in the game, not to mention the whole line was pretty bad to begin with. Now Peppers has a good game and gives everybody what they want (sacks) and people complain about the "quality" of the opponent. Will you people ever be satisfied? If not, then I'll just stop arguing the point because its becoming mind numbing.

Against the run, Pep played extremely well this game. Against the pass... not so well, but this is the entire DLine's grade here, as none of them put that much pressure on Campbell.

One thing I did see, and I was at the game and watching closely, was that Pep was hustling a lot more yesterday than I've seen in a long time. I remember quite a few plays where he contained his side, even if the stats don't show as big numebrs. Yes, I feel Beason's calling him out helped, and I hope it no longer takes a talk for him to keep up the energy week in and week out. Only time will tell though, and it's up to him to try and earn his paycheck, and no one else's responsibility. I hope he sees the light, so to speak.

It was all Davis on the safety.

there were 3 people at the RB for the Safety. Pep caused the RB to stay into the endzone and got to the RB 1st, but only was able to grab the back of his jersey while Davis made the sure tackle. Diggs was there to clean up if needed.

The game was on TV for anyone who obviously missed the play.

this is called blind hate. no matter what happens during the game, these posters who we all should take "seriously" and appreciate what they say, are actually going to dog the hell out of a guy no matter what actually plays out on the field. Yes, it's sad. It's actually pathetic. But that's the way it is. I'll agree with gman was right all day on this note, we need a better fan base that actually watches and understands football and doesn't call it "as they see it", but rather as the game is actually played. Their view is distorted, so what they see doesn't always happen.

Look at Jake.. No matter how bad the OLine is, it's not hte oline at all, it's Jake. Brady looked HORRIBLE against the Jets, (and flustered in the SB against the Giants), but somehow if we had Brady he'd magically win all our games for us. I'll tell you Jake and Pep can be let go just as much as anyone, but I call it as the game is played. I wish other would have the common decency to do the same.
