Cheap win. Redskins were robbed on the Punt.

I completely see your point, but there "should" also be rules for all kinds of things, but the fact is there isn't, and rightfully so. If all you have is a bunch of rules then you end up with dull games that are dictated by the refs and the rulebook, and not the teams.

I don't think it's that big of a deal unless it's done intentionally and I still don't think this was intentional at all.

hell. the refs already have a hard time explaining calls like the one in question. you give them more to think about and the morons aren't gonna be able to say anything that makes sense.

This thread has challenged my sanity.

You're sane?

I'd imagine it's hard to call a game though. I mean, they don't have as good a view as the fans in the stands (being able to see everything happening) and even less than the ones watching on TV.

I agree, and I have said before...the people making the calls should be full time. Practicing making calls during the week, and keeping themselves physically and mentally fresh. With all the blown calls we see week in and week out theres no reason the league should have part timers on the field.

I know it would be hard to simulate games, but they could officiate team practices at least.

We should have got a TD from Hoover earlier in the game. Refs gave you that one. Karma man...Karma.

Ditto. I was watching the NFL Network and they had an angle that wasn't shown during the game. YES Hoover scored before the fumble. He, at the second lunge, was mid-chest deep at the goal line, albeit for a split second. You can see the ball high up on his chest in this angle. The ball crossed the plane, but as I said it was brief and both officials views were obscured. The goal line camera was the only view they were showing on TV, but the field goal cam was the one with the best shot.

In other words, this dude crying about the refs is looking for excuses.

I'd definitely take the job. Why not? Hey, I'm not good enough to be a player, so I'll just officiate.

I was contimplating how they could get better angles for better calls in the games. I came up with a camera with very good zoom (I imagine they all have very good zoom) that's mounted about 100 feet above the field.

That absolutely sucks, though. :(

Now those were some sad panther posts. Cmon people, be serious.

The skins don't play their best two offensive lineman, play one that hasn't played in a regular season game in over 4 years. They are then forced to keep one of the leagues best TE's solely as a blocker so Cooley goes his first game without a reception. AND THE PANTHERS PLAYED GREAT DEFENSE???????? The skins are so hurting and weak on the o-line, that NO team should walk away from the skins thinking there "Defense has finally shown up." And the panthers got two weeks to prepare for that soft line, AND IT TOOK A FLUKE PUNT TO HELP COMEBACK AND BEAT THE SKINS!!!!

With a healthy offensive line, the Giants allowed 2 TD's and were an offside kick away from having to defend a possible game winning drive.

Im sorry, but braggin about the Panther's Defense, is way too laughable!!!!
