Dude, I have a wall full of degrees on the wall, one with Dr. on it and all but dissertation for another one, and I don't a clue WTF you are trying to say, other than convey that you have the wonderful ability to articulate a pseudo intellectual attitude towards anyone who disagrees with you. See what we started?  ladypanther had a great post and now it has spent out of control.  I'm not posting in or reading anymore in this post.  Doesn't matter what I feel or you feel it's about what she posted.  Love you, brother and respect your opinion.TPF

Following that, a guy (whos name is escaping me) invented what would eventually be the right wing mailer industry. Dude fuging walked in to the FEC and copied down the name of everyone that had ever donated to the republican party. Then he would mail them "these liberals are protesting our troops. Donate 2 dollars to whatever." This guy ended up raising billions throughout the years, he's a really fascinating story.

In regards to the argument, how can either side be right?  We are talking about slights and perceived slights from almost 40 years ago.  Any recollection or even document is wholly underwhelming as a factual matter.  And that includes the links I clicked.

Also, I personally don't go to "see" the flyover, I want the chills from feeling the flyover.

PSS  to the poster who slammed the mods here....  I miss KT.

If you've spent any amount of time wasting oxygen ranting about keeping politics out of sports in relation to players kneeling, then you should be firmly against these gaudy displays of faux patriotism that honestly amount to little more than just several minutes of extremely costly aimless dick swinging.

Showing respect for the military and politics are not related. Regardless of left or right view, everyone should have respect for the military, first responders, and police.

I think this boils down to a serious discussion about what the perception of patriotism has morphed into these days, and it isn't at all pretty.

I've seen countless Americans across this country the last several months condemning peaceful protest under the bastardized guise of patriotism. These individuals demand respect and empathy in one breath but refuse to reciprocate when it comes time to address social issues affecting their fellow citizens that look different from them. That is not patriotism. Period.

First, I hate to bastardize the OP's thread, even more than it already has been. @ladypanther I'm sorry, I liked your original topic, sorry to contribute to the garbage that it has resulted in.

Second, I agree with you, and it's sad. Too many people across this nation demand their rights to be preserved but once somebody has a counter stance, they demand those people's rights be revoked. Either in the name of a "safe space", affirmative action or not allowing a sisgendered individual to apply to a specific position.

I honestly don't know the answer to the problem, or if there is one that will  satisfy the majority of people.  Sadly, believe that it will get worse before it gets better.

They should do away with all of that. Keep politics out of the sport. Soon as I walk into the stadium, it should be nothing but football.

No way possible when political agendas are being applied from the top. Theses rich owners and players for that matter can't figure out why people are so angry and it's because nothing is scared anymore. Everything has a agenda and that agenda isn't about common people. It's about the 1% of the rich who think they can control everything and everyone.
