Not to be a homer, but I expect big things from the Offense when Third Leg Greg is back.  Let's face it, we're getting by on Cam's running, which is fine for now, but adding GO back will make defenses more accountable for our passing game.

Yeah I’m just glad we got to 6-3 without him. We may have won the Saints game had he been there. may have won the Eagles game if Luke hadn’t gone down half way through. Still don’t know what to attribute Chicago to, but if we woulda had Luke and Greg for that game, we probably would have won. You can make the argument that losing those two guys is what led directly to our 3 losses. Had we had them healthy, we might be the only undefeated team right now.

What if’s and what not, but gives you a different perspective on this team. Imagine how much more confident we’d feel being undefeated or only having one loss! We have done well despite the injuries. As Cam said on Sunday, wait till we get our dawg back!

I'm really intrigued to see how this team looks when we get Olsen back.  I don't think we're gonna be great on offense, but I think we can be very efficient and more explosive when the opposition worries heavily about Greg tearing them apart underneath.

I would like to add that the more practice time Samuel and Shep get with Cam, will be paying off down the road as well. Their chemistry should only improve, as they get more comfortable with each other.

Also, Greg is far more than just an underneath threat. We really do miss his down the field threat. I am not saying he is a deep threat. But yeah, he is a down the field threat.

By the end of the year. I expect this Offense to be much smoother, and more efficient. More moving parts, and better chemistry should be a great mix.

    Oh, and GOOOOOOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking about this after the game Sunday. If we win Monday, we will be 7-3. In of itself, about what we all thought we be. But...we did it without Greg, and Luke missing almost 2 games.

My point? Most folks thought we would be right about where we are. Yet while getting here, most folks were saying we weren't going to get here. Football huh.

As Samuel, and Shep get more, and more practice with Cam. Throw in Olsen, and Byrd coming back. I am giddy over the possibilities for this Offense.

tl/dr version; We are sitting pretty. We historically play lights out in Nov., and Dec.. So yeah, the future looks darn good.

Here is a fun fact for you guys.. Out of ALL the other teams in the NFC with a winning record we have A. Played more teams that have (or had a winning record until they played us and lost) and B. Actually have beat more teams with winning records than the other teams have?

Detroit W

Buffalo W

New England W

Atlanta W

NO L

Eagles L

We have played 6 teams with a winning record and are 4-2 against those teams. Philly has only played two teams with a winning record and are 1-1 against them

We are having a pretty darn good year. Throw out that inexplicable Bears loss, and we are having a really good year. Too bad a whole lotta folks seem to be missing that fact.

Honestly, I just think it's because we just aren't a fun team to watch and don't pass the "eye test"  we just aren't a sexy team. We don't get many sacks, we don't get many highlight reel interceptions, we don't ever break any big runs or have big punt returns, we never have any eye popping long passes downfield for TDs.

We are just a team that does just enough to win and that's it. Not saying that is good or bad, it's just the type of team we are. Seahawks are very much the same way this year.

I get what you are saying. And in a way, it makes sense. Fans like excitement, and we kinda do lack that to a certain degree. But aren't wins the ultimate factor? Folks would much prefer to walk away from a game after a win.

With all the off field issues we have had, and the loss of Olsen. I can see why fans are a tad antsy.

That said. The only game this year that should put a crimp in a fans armor is the Bears game. Which it should. But all in all, we are winning. It may be ugly. But it is defiantly better than the alternative.

Most folks expected us to be right around where we are. But because of the way we got here. Folks seem to not be as happy as they maybe should be.

This post got me thinking about where we stand record wise, and right now we're 8th in the league (tiebreakers are considered).

So the freaking Bears game is the difference between us standing alone at #2 with a 7-2 record and being down to #8 at 6-3. Doh.

I will say this...

knowing the panthers we are definitely a 2nd half of season team. We are also very momentum and chemistry based. When we struggle we struggle and when we roll we roll hard.

Were 6-3 after dealing with a ton of controversy, healing shoulder, and peices roster wise that didnt fir

i can definitely see our offense click here soon and coupled with our defense we could be the fugin poo

ite not how you start its how you finish and we are in position to do some damage.

Some of you guys are too caught up in the "right now " mindset and cant see past lunchtime.
