Fire Shula Banner.....the reason why

What did people think was going to happen? Imagine this scenario:

Sunday, November 5th - Bank of America Stadium, 12:53 - 2nd Quarter

       - Per usual, to get the crowd pumped up, the stadium cameras pan in on JR sitting in his box.

       - JR, who usually has a cold, heartless mask on, is sitting there with a shocked look on his face staring up into the sky. He's even pointing with his left hand.

       - Immediately following the game, the news breaks that Shula has been fired.

       - JR actually decides to answer questions following the breaking news. When asked why it happened, he proceeds to draw a square on a piece of paper. He holds it up and simply says, "I saw the banner..."

       - Mission accomplished. Now watch this drive.

Nobody thought any of that would happen. Wouldn't have flown during the game anyway.

I already donate a shed ton to charity. Can I spend $100 on a banner or does all money that you don't deem appropriate have to go to charity?

Also, can I get a list of your monthly spending habits so I can suggest which ones are frivolous and we can redirect to charity?

Spending $100 on a banner is literally as useless as setting it on fire. Anyone that donated is a certifiable idiot, full stop.

Aw thanks for your cute insults. I hope it makes you feel great about yourself.

However the point of all this is that it is discretionary money that brings me entertainment. Spending $5k-$10k a year on the local football team is arguably useless as well. And are you maintaining that you haven't spent $100 on something frivolous this year?

But since you care so much, can you expand on why this makes me an idiot? Most people think I am a relatively intelligent person.

Would LOVE for you to post a months worth of money transactions so we can laugh at all your purchases that you think are “needs” when in reality they couldn’t be further from.

I hope you haven’t spent any money on cigarettes, alcohol, fast food and entertainment this past month.

Maybe the people complaining about the people who spent money on this are just bitter/jealous that these people are in a position to throw away $100 bucks.

I’m by no means saying this is a smart way to spend your money but if it brings whoever spent entertainment then so be it. I’m willing to bet most you spend your money on worse things daily without even thinking twice.

My bad I was pooing the quote, after rereading looks like it wasn’t yours.

So...are you admitting that maybe, just maybe. There are times when you are posting, and you have no idea what you are doing? You know? That WOULD explain a lot. (jk) It's cold and rainy, and the wife won't let me go outside. So I thought I would take it out on you.

Dang, where did my jk go? I swear it was there when I started.

Shouldn’t you be spending your few remaining years left on earth doing something a little more productive?

What's really funny is that the weather at the time of departure was forecast to be IFR, and in fact, was low IFR. He couldn't fly a banner, and had they checked the forecast the night before, they could have said that, instead of initially, the lame excuse in the email about something "stalling," topped off by switching gears and later saying that the pilot refused. If anyone came out of it looking dumb, it's the aerial advertising firm and the pilot. The banner organizers on the other hand, a) get their money back, and b) generated a decent amount of publicity and got some media attention...and the message "out there," essentially for free. Furthermore, the play book got opened up Sunday. Coincidence? Sounds like a W to me.

Your concern for my health is touching. Although it is kinda creepy in a stalker kind of way. But, if you don't mind, us adults are trying to have a conversation.

Eh, I’m a more logical poster than more earlier years here. Definitely don’t have the time I once did, so I often scan more than I read.
