Truthiest truth I’ve ever read on this site.

I swear.  I am in alot of FB groups and at the beginning of the season all the fairweather fans were talking bout move on from CAM.  I was like dafuq...you guys are clearly dumb and dont understand football, yea he might not have the best numbers are far as the greats but he gives up more ways to win a game than anyone that might just be a sole pocket passer.

The difference in winning and losing ball games bad little decisions like kicking fg on 4 & inches he seemed ready to start playing winning= Rivera boat football like in 15 we would have easily went for that but we all know he's regressed back to his scary self atleast Cam sent a serious and direct message we can handle situations to keep the chains moving short yardage situations etc don't slow our momentum we're back to being able to put up 150 rushing with everyone pitching in I was impressed they went off on silly Ron to make winning decisions.

I think Cam was reiterating his message to Ron on the sideline when he was beating him on the chest. Looked like he was telling coach to trust him and quit taking the ball out of his hands. Hope Ron got the message.

I have not seen Cam as intense as he was yesterday since 2015.

That 4th and Inches rant he had changed the tone of the game.  While we still only got 3 points out of it.  It was the fact that he forced Rivera into getting his balls out of his ass and on the field.

You could see that Cam was on a mission and IMO he willed us to that win.

Anyone that thinks we should let Cam go or move on from Cam is crazy.

Unfortunately if Cam has a bad game (which all QBs have here and there) too many goobers will be asking if it's time to find a replacement and forget that the offense runs through him.

Again Cam is the focal point on the offense there is no one offensive weapon to really take the pressure off yet. Hopefully McCaffery and Samuel will continue to improve but this offseason will be very interesting to see what kind of weapons Hurney wants to get Cam.

BTW I still want Shula gone.

There are a few reasons for what happened yesterday in my mind. Cam always loves to play the Falcons. That's his childhood team. He wants to ball out on them. Plus, when we traded away KB I think Cam took it personally. Cam has been under constant scrutiny this year. The love fest that was 2015 is clearly over. He's said a few things that alluded to the fact that he's not feeling very appreciated. "I doubt they'll throw a parade for me when I leave." was one of the more telling quotes in my opinion. He feels like the Charlotte media is out for blood against him and the national media has literally always been. He's conflicted about the front office stance on protests and the "us vs. them" dynamic that has been fostered this year by the politicization of the sport. Then the team decides to trade his best friend and primary target. How many franchise QBs would have this done to them?

Cam said it himself. No concerns about self-preservation yesterday. He wasn't playing a style that was interested in prolonging his career. He was going to go out and give the most dynamic performance we've seen out of him in a couple of years. He delivered on it. I hope it's just more to come. Cam against the world.

How could he hold an advantage in wins when Cam is the winningest QB in franchise history?

According to different sources the numbers are different but within 1 or 2 wins of each other. Jake may have one a few games with Brown's and Texans. But they are just about equal regardless. Nothing significantly different in terms of winning pct or wins

We all know why that is.

i hate to say it but i agree with this. the national sports media are just hot take whores, but Panthers "fans" who dont like Cam at this point usually have a very different problem with him than their declared problem with his leadership. a very melanistic issue.

Oh, you’re adding Jake post-Panthers?

Why?

Have to agree... those who think we should move on from cam have obviously been spoiled and don’t remember what life was like before cam.

even with jake, aside from the first few years, it was ugly. 2007 he was probably looking the best he ever had before tommy john showed up. after that....blech.

cam has given us talent that we have never seen at QB here....or really anywhere else in the league and he's brought energy to a largely flat fanbase and increased that fanbase by quite a bit.

i've got no desire to go back to the way it was, as much fun as those older days were. i can put up with some idiosyncrasies in press conferences (that are largely just BS anyway) and him being unhappy with losing (and do we really want anyone leading this team who is comfortable with losing?).
