Stewart kills the teams momentum every time he touches the ball

I think he is given the ball in obvious running situations to take some of the hits for cmc.

I love Stew and what he has done for this team throughout the year, but he's absolutely past his prime and we need the young fresh legs in there in CAP and McC.

I think he needs to sit for a few games and get his head back together. Then maybe when he does play how about run similar plays to when CMC is there instead of making him a bulldozer when we don't have an offensive line for that.

there should be no wasted plays. Trying to force something to happen when it can't is just stupid.

we run the guy up the gut like we can impose our will on people. How about when he's is there's play action or fly sweeps to Christian who is in the slot or similar?

how about let the guy catch a pass. He can catch when he's been thrown to,..

let him get his head right first though.

Stewart was looking good on both plays when he fumbled.  He had a bad game, poo happens.  He still has gas in the tank and those calling for his head after one game need to remember how good he can be when he gets rolling.

To be fair, I don't think McCoy, Gurley or Bell could run behind our line with much success. We have absolutely no push.

 

that said, Stewart has been pretty bad this year

Until just about this game and the Bucs game, EVERYONE was getting hit behind the line...it seems we are finally starting to gel as a line and opening holes. CMC ran good today as well, he had holes to hit.  Stewart was looking decent, but had a crap game.

Stewart isn't done, far from it, he's just done for this team. The coaches are too stupid. 

You don't keep blasting him up the middle like it's magically going to open up with what we have going. 

i wouldn't be surprised if he's playing with a concussion or something. He doesn't look right.

they should cut him and let him go play for another team,.. it's like Benji, too predictable with him in the game because the coaches can't adjust.

so take him out and play to the strengths of what we have,..

Seemed like he was out late partying it up last night!! Stewart had a bad day.. I am sure he will turn it up next week!!

Not only has he lost his burst, he has lost his vision. CMC had 3 runs that we’re for 2 or 3 yards that would have been negative 4 for Stewart. He is the slowest player on the field and he pops backwards when hit if he doesn’t have momentum which is frequent because of his lack of explosion at the point of handoff. It’s sad that the coaching staff doesn’t see this. CAP had an 11 yard run last week that showed burst hitting the hole. Stew has not done that once this year. I just don’t get it guys
