Is It Time for CMC to start over Stew?

Yeh I'm a big time Stewart guy and I'll say that too,... start CAP and CMC and let stewart sit for awhile.

i believe all the gut runs with behind the line hits took their toll for now, and the frustration has gotten the better of him,.. he's human.

frustration does it to players,.. AJ Green lost it and got thrown out of a game,..

sit him and run with CMC and CAP and see how that plays out. Personally the runs still have to adjust and I don't expect much from CAP but at least he's got fresh legs and should be motivated to show he's the guy.

i think we will or should focus on 2 receivers, a running back and offensive line in the draft and free agency,...

the defense has it, take back Stewart's fumbles and the game would have been a blow out,.. take back the runs back in the game after the fumbles and the offense would have kept moving.

reluctantly i say he's done

Stewart should be let go in the offseason. I don't think we need to draft a power back if we actually use Armah for short yardage.

Next season we should be starting CAP, and it should probably be 60% CAP to 40% McCaffrey in terms of carries unless its 2 yards or less, run Armah or Cam.

We could also draft a power back like Nick Chubb, Royce Freeman, or Bo Scarborough. I dont think we need to though.

Before the start of next season Hurney needs to focus on :

  1. Getting the best possible oline
  2. Getting younger and more talented on defense

Exactly, i dont think CMC is an evrydown type of back.  But, yeah Stews done

I think he can be like a McCoy or even LeVeon Bell with vision and shiftiness if we just let our blocking develop on plays, which we did well today with Armah leading the way.

Stewart will be 31 in March

121 carries, 350 yards for 2.8 average. 1 TD so far rushing and catching. 3 fumbles.

We save 3,750,000 by cutting him next season. Unless this dude hit some type of switch and help tremendously lead us to a deep playoff run, it's time to move forward from John Fox guys. Ryan Kalil too.
