Bryce should understand just like anyone in the NFL that injuries can happen at any time. The team is about more than Bryce. Drafting or picking up someone in FA that can develop as a backup, and play competently for a few games at least is a very good thing. Would you rather go 0-3 during a BY injury and miss the playoffs because we're scared to hurt his feelings by bringing in another QB, or win 1 or 2 of those games and get in as a wild card. This isn't about making Bryce comfortable. It's about building the best team possible. If Bryce is playing better than his backup, then he should start, if not, his backup should. It's not personal, it's the nature of elite sports.
