Exactly one person NFL.com asked thinks the Panthers will even make the playoffs.

I see you Judy Battista. Stay woke fam.

Unanimous picks that the Saints take the division, and there's a lot of love for the Falcons in there as a wild card.

I say we get our stuff together and prove them all wrong.

I like the enthusiasm. I wouldn't  put any $$ on it though.  Taking the homer glasses off,  we are mid-season still trying to find our identity.  I thought that we'd know by the beginning of last month,  but now we're doing nothing but guessing.

Truth here... but I have to be eternally optimistic.

If I was going to let pessimism rule the roost, I would have thrown in the towel completely last year or after the Super Bowl until Shula was gone.

But the Panthers are my team and, until the bracketing is complete, there's always hope and a chance that we get our junk together and field the post-season effort that we have the talent for.

as frustrated as i am about how this season is going and the long term direction, i think we've got what it will take to get in the playoffs. unless the offense gets it stuff together, i think we're a one and done but if we do get things sorted out and finish strong like we usually do we can do some real damage.

i just don't like us having to rely  on D to get far and my confidence isn't real high in the offense getting it all sussed out.

I don't think anything short of a legendary defense would carry us to a deep playoff run.  I think this unit is good but hasn't demonstrated ability to keep elite QBs or offenses  in check .

If our offense keeps floundering , I guess we still might make wild card but we'd probably get killed in the 1st or 2nd round .

Not saying it will happen but what if Saints get to SB again? They will rub that so hard into our fans faces and we will never hear the end of it. If the team does not have any initiative to play like a real team should this scenario will or can take place and I myself am so freaking tired of being a fan of a team that becomes a joke in the league every year at the expense of JR and coaching staff and a sad boneheaded GM.

My thoughts, pretty much... If Luke and Co. can stay healthy, all we need is our offense to score at least a couple times a game and we're pretty much in contention with any team out there. But, I don't put much faith in the people running our offense right now for that to happen. IF we don't change much and sneak into the playoffs, I too think we're one and done.

If we can get some consistency on offense, we could beat anyone.

I mean, we almost lead the league in TOP. To have that, and not be able to score points is pretty bad.

That's what makes a true fan though dude, sticking with the team through shitty management or coaches  for years . Look how long Redskins , bengals, lions, various other teams been without deep playoff runs  ..

I don't think it'll stay like this forever , hell we even made it to a super bowl recently with almost same exact staff  . Never say never ! I believe we'll eventually get better coaches and management ..

This was definitely beer worthy.  Especially with all the doom and gloom around here this week after the KB trade.

I agree with your comment it is just so frustrating. I have been a fan since our SB with Patriots. I had no team to be a fan of while serving in Army and and when I left military I decided to take Panthers as my team and have been a fan since that SB game. I have seen so many ups and downs players coming and going and when you see something good happening it somehow starts heading on a downward trend which is very painful to see but hey I will not ever turn my back on my Panthers even though having disappointment with how things are now transpiring especially the failures to have winning seasons with JR, HC, OC,and unfortunately hopefully not full time GM Hernia.
