CMC as OROTY

If CMC had TDs to count eith those numbers, he'd be in the hunt, but as of right now, he's not even in the conversation.

Right now McCaffery is not even close to OROTY. He does however have a very strong case as Panthers' offensive MVP. 

With Benjamin gone, I have a feeling McCaffery is going to become even more effective. I look for a big second half.

With that being said, interesting CMC statistic: Only 2 people in the entire league have more receptions than CMC.  Antonio Brown and Jarvis Landry.  His average isn't all that impressive, but he's produced with quite a few less targets than the other 2 guys.

Does it make him OROTY?  Nah, but still kinda cool.

CMC will never see his full potential under this administration, just like Cam and the rest of the team.  It's a sad situation all around.

Christian McCaffery is 3rd in the NFL in receptions. He is second in the NFL in yards after catch. He is number 1 among NFL running backs in receptions for 1st downs. And he has zero drops in 66 targets.

Watson wins in popularity

Watson wins in the fact he is playing the toughest position - and not just having better stats than rookies but more TD passes than literally everyone and didn't even start 2 games.

I actually think he catches Fournette's yardage.  Just not his TDs.   Only a matter of time before CMC starts getting chunks.  He just too good.

yes.  Total yardage.  I think CMC ends up with comparable yardage to Fournette.  CMC sees an uptick and Fournette falls back some.

I wasn't looking at special team yardage. 

Given CMCs looks.  Just as matter of time before the big plays start coming.    

Breakdown really is.....Fournette  is averaging about 30 more yards per game thus far.  That is with CMC completely bottled up and Fournette getting wild some. 

 

CMC can easily catch him in total yards.  Like Luke and Pep talked about turnovers.  When you are as good as the Panther D they will come.  And when they come, they will come in a plenty.  Same applies to a guy as talented as CMC IMO.   The big plays are coming.

The YAC is what's both impressive and surprising to me.

 

That being said, CMC has fourth place on lock down. Unless Hunt, Watson, or Fournette get injured, they're all getting more votes.
