They basically tossed a 5-3 record in the trash yesterday. If we come out and get beat by Atlanta, it's going to get nasty

well, when we get steamrolled we'll have an excuse...if we win it will show some resiliency... but we all have seen this scenario before...

The difference is, this franchise hasn't done well to give him weapons.

i really don't understand this notion. Greg Olsen, CmC, Jonathan Stewart, and KB were all 1st round picks. Curtis Samuel and Funchess were 2nd round picks. How is the front office not trying to surround him with weapons? Besides, the whole notion that a QB needs 'great weapons' to be successful is highly overrated.

Look at Jamies Winston. The Bucs signed Deshaun Jackson, drafted OJ Howard, to go along with Mike Evans, you can probably make the case they have the greatest receiving threats in the league, yet Winston has clearly regressed this year.

Cam in 2015 had Tedd Ginn and Jericho Cotchery and threw 35 TD passes on his way to league MVP.

Brady, aside from Randy Moss and now Brandin Cooks, has never had viable receiving targets his entire career, yet he's one of the greatest QB's ever.

Green Bay gives off the notion that Devante Adams, Jordy Nelson, and Randell Cobb are amazing weapons, but if it wasn't for Rodgers, would they really be that great? Put them on another team and would they have the same success?

It comes down to offensive line and scheme, which is where the Panthers excelled in 2015. If trading KB can really help "evolve" this offense, then honestly this could be a great move by the Panthers. Lets not right them off until we've seen a couple of games under the new offense. The combination of Funch (a tall possession receiver) to go along with curtis samuel and CmC in the slot (agile, elusive, quick), and Shepard and Clay (possession receivers with great speed) who can stretch the defense, this offense could be really fun to watch.

This we know..Wr is bare as is who do get  the same type of player that we just traded. Thats what im upset about. Cam knows that players come and go but benji was a shock.. and who could we get to replace him ?Bersin replaces fun. Lol a joke within a joke.

Anyone who thinks Bersin is a replacement for KB is deranged. I don’t even think BBs own mom would think that. He is no more than depth and a body in practice that knows our playbook and maybe a familiar face for Cam.

    • Yeah and he succeeded at an even higher level in LA with an even better surrounding cast. Goff is a guy that isn't really able to dramatically elevate players around him but he can make a good situation even better. He is capable of that. Some QB's aren't. I am not sure Dak is able to do that and he is in a similar "class" as Goff, IMO.
    • i think i could handle that for a year. beyond that....i don't know.  back where we lived, when we had a few inches of snow, it might have been a couple feet because we weren't getting out and doing anything. i remember times where power would go out for days on end. we had propane and electric heat, depending on the floor. basement (had a couple bedrooms and a living room and kitchen down there) and main floor had gas logs. main floor gas logs was enough to take care of the upstairs, so we could stay warm and cook on the grill when we needed. we had a well so that was always an issue when the power went out. had to make sure tubs were filled with water for the toilets and we had gallons of water for drinking and cooking available. always had to make sure we were ready. that wasn't always the case. we had a couple moments where we were going through propane quickly and because we were dealing with the worst propane company in the world (amerigas) they wouldn't get out to put gas in our 900 gallon tank. made for some nerve racking moments.  i know y'all were probably a lot more able to handle that kind of thing, but after the little bit (comparatively) that we got here i just have no desire to get trapped again. maybe for a day or two a year get snowed in and i'm good.
    • I think he is just drawing a DC to them line and that's about as far as his thought process went. It makes almost no sense outside of that. Also, it doesn't make sense for Pittsburgh or Seattle at this juncture either.  I think our "veteran" pool is basically gonna be the Dalton/Flacco tier or the "pick your poison" options of young busts(Jones/Z. Wilson) or wild, TO prone gunslingers(Darnold/Winston/etc). We have the option to pursue I genuinely believe(depending on the way the rest of this season goes), we either draft a QB in the top 10 or resign Dalton. Outlier third option on taking one of the wild gunslingers that Dave feels like he can work with.
