KB's knee is considered a ticking time bomb inside BOA

I'm sorry, Brandon Beane is not going to spend a 3rd round pick on a player who only has 2 years left to play and is going to cost him $8.4 million next year.

That's beyond ludicrous.

No ludicrous.

The Bills have around $21 mil in remaining Cap with KB on their roster next year.  They are not cap-strapped.  Also the Bills "have the longest active playoff drought in any major professional sport: they have not qualified to play in the NFL playoffs since 1999 and are the only team that has not appeared in the playoffs so far in the 21st century."

We have people that whine constantly on this forum that we have never had back-to-back winning seasons.  Imagine not making the playoffs for 18 years.  What price would you put on that?

Lol....how do you know this? The guy has been a GM for 5 minutes. Yall are acting like Beane is some "Belicheck light" level of a GM. Keep trying to give the guy credit he hasnt earned yet.

The same way we know KB isn't going to have a long career. Oh wait no one knows poo. It's just talk to make themselves feel better.

I do recall him having a source with Peppers, but I'm highly doubting this one.

if kelvin benjamin is not remotely healthy than the team is being negligible and irresponsible playing him. Also the Bills would be aware of this. Not only would they get his medicals, but both bean and McDermott have been around him for years. There is just no shot this can be true.

Either way we will find out sooner rather than later if this is legit or not.

You can't cherry pick when to believe someone with sources based on your own personal feelings on the situation. Either they have sources who are in the know, or they don't; and the credibility of the information they provide isn't affected by YOUR feelings on the topic. A fact is a fact, regardless of how you feel about it.

Kelvin has obviously taken some hits and been bent awkwardly several times this season.

Yes I can. I can choose to believe whatever I want. I am also telling you there is no possible way this true.

A. If it was this bad the Panthers wouldn't have been playing him. It would have been negligible and irresponsible.

B. If it were that bad his medicals would not have cleared and he wouldn't have passed his physical.

C. McDermott and Beane have been with him for years and would not have traded a third round pick for him if they knew it was that bad. Also no other franchise other than Carolina would have a better idea of how bad it was then them.

D. Rivera and Hurney would not intentionally screw over two people they have a personal relationship with and who have worked under them in the past.

E. If somehow everything above is false and Kelvin's knee is that bad and they knew about it, then the Panthers would lose all  credibility and no one would deal with them again.

so like I said, this is not true.

Dude you're talking about the Panthers organization who let Cam continue playing with a torn rotator cuff lol

OP might have overstated with the ticking time bomb stuff, but he torn his ACL 2 seasons ago, last year spent nursing it, and he re-injured it against Philly.

A. The Panthers played Cam with an injury that was going to require surgery when we were out of playoff contention.

B. Even if his knee is considered weak or otherwise a liability, he could still pass a physical

C. His knee likely flared up when he was bent backward in the Saints game, after the Bills staff left Carolina

D. "It sucks to suck" - Personal relationships mean nothing in business, or shouldn't. There is a difference between personal/professional and simply personal. The fact of the matter is that if someone is going to offer two draft picks for possibly damaged goods, you give it to them.

E. Teams have dealt away damaged goods before. It is on the doctors of the team receiving the player to evaluate him.

So like I said, your points are not based in fact or a rational understanding of how to conduct business.

Or the sources are just wrong.

Again this is not true. This is not how the business works at all, "it sucks to suck". Something similar happened in baseball and the team who misrepresented the medicals got fined and had their GM suspended. So no it's not normal business practice.

The point is, the sources can't be wrong because you disagree with the conclusion they reached. Ultimately, the sources have more knowledge of the situation than you and your personal feelings on the matter don't change the facts presented; agree or disagree, the word in the building is Benjamin's knee is a liability.
