Sax Takes: A Not that Saxy Edition; Color me Confuzzled

Precursor: Let us not turn this into a fan vs. fan thing; the situation with this team since after the Super Bowl has been down right baffling.  So let's veer away from the whole fan critique and focus more on seeing why the situation is so frustrating--

1 - Why are we "selling" right now?

We are 5-3, have the 2015 MVP at QB, and a stellar defense.  Sure, we looked like crap against the Bears..so what?  We just traded our top WR for future compensation.  No immediate reward and only risk for the remainder of the season.  With the NFC looking so meh, why aren't we just going all in if we are going to trade?  This right here is the biggest sign of failure in assessing and addressing the situation at hand.  Situational leadership fail at the highest level, not just coaching.

2 - Why are we making long term decisions with an interim situation?

This is self explanatory.  The Bills called us, not the other way around and we were like, ah, for KB, sure take a 3rd and 7th.  Hurney is the last man out of the steam room with a sore lower back.  Why is Hurney back? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

3 - It appears we don't want to build around Cam (or) this is Rivera's last season

Here comes the crazy talk.  This franchise is showing we don't revolve around Cam and it's not his team.  Seriously.  I won't explain how I "feel" about Cam or whatever, we can get to a SB with him, RIDE IT babay.   But, this franchise is not doing that.  This feels like Ron's mess of a team.  Not Luke's and Cam's and TD's and Kalil's (the good one)...but Ron "Throwyaunderthebus" Rivera's.  They are like, let Cam do his thing over there and we'll just drum up bullsh*t after bullsh*t.  We are not set up to win WITH Cam/Luke/Short but because of Cam/Luke/Short.

ORRRRRR, are they truly that near sided to think because 2015 happened without Benji, can gift him off for next to nothing.  Or...OOORRRRRR

Is it actually because we are setting ourselves up for a new regime to have ammunition?  Honest to Zeus' left nut, that is my best guess.  If you are setting up for a new GM and not Hurney (who still may want his own coach if he is), the only trades that make long term sense are for picks.  What good does it do for Rivera or Cam for that matter to take away our best WR mid season where neither are super comfortable?

Not saxy...

...not Saxy at all folks.

from a management pov there are so many head scratching decisions going on this year. i'm hoping at some point it all makes sense, but it seems that all decisions have been split second (over)reactions and it's really making me wonder where the compass is set for this team.

and just because your name, this thread and today's shocker...

Morphine vid? Aw yeah, you've got it clear.  :thumbs up:

A 3rd and 7th for our 1st Rounder who played to 1st rounder expectations (albeit with a year long injury, but he was back)

I just don't get it.  Again, situationally, this franchise just doesn't put it together.  From players in game, to coaches in game +roster-wise, and GMs across the board.   I hope whoever gets this franchise from JR has an elevated mentality.

A point I think should be echoed heavily:

The scouting staff that got this guy at 28th overall, now on a new team and in higher roles, just got a 3rd and 7th for him....they are dealing with the guy they originally replaced and found better jobs due to their relative performance.  WTF are we doing?  Potential results aside, it's just like low level business crud.
