Signing Star is basically swallowing the bullet on Butler being a gigantic bust.

And in what universe is Norwell better or more important than KB. Norwell is a nobody that can’t block his way out of a paper bag

Based on Panthers identity of a running team this makes all the sense

Star + Norwell +3rd round pick > KB

This retard actually thinks Hurney planned any of this in any sort of way even though it's been confirmed by the man himself that it was a spur of the moment trade.

Retard? There is an age requirement to post here.

If you haven’t noticed our running game has been terrible these last two seasons  Norwell being part of the equation

I’m not being an a$$ right now but who drafted mushin Muhammad and Steve smith? If not Hurley then I’m completely blanking on who our GM was then. And this is. Serious question

Hurney didn't draft Muhammed.  Moose was drafted in 96.  He did draft Smith, but more as a punt returner.  His record after Smith irt WR's was horrid though.

Polian drafted Muhammad and George Seifert drafted Smitty.

Yet we continue to run it no matter.

Panthers offense runs through the Cam and TE position, run game want be 100% until Olsen is back .

Next year draft should be Fumaglaic/ Chubb and defensive players afterward

We don't have an identity of a running team. We have the delusion of being a running team. Our identity is more closely aligned as a gaggle of fugtards.

Nope, Hurney was GM the year after we drafted Smitty. George Seifert was HC/GM and Hurney was DoFO that year.

    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
    • Did I miss something?  The people we have developing players now are not the ones we've had in the past so I don't know what the heck people are talking about when they say we are not good at developing players right now.  We only have one year to go on.  Canales likes young players or players who are on an upward trajectory, especially in FA this year.  Past QB's and what he's done with Bryce are good examples. Tershawn Wharton - 26 Tre'von Moehrig - 25 Pat Jones II - 26 Bobby Brown III - 24 Michael Jackson - 28 Jaycee Horn - 25 Tommy Tremble - 24 We missed on Milton Williams but he's 26. Everyone else we picked up are on 1 year deals.  The Panthers new front office and Canales absolutely scream developmental team. Pick 8 (stay) Tier 1 Elite - Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter and Mason Graham Tier 2 Elite - Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams, Will Johnson Trade down: There are quite a few really good players that fit us at Edge, DT, S and WR mid to late 1st and high 2nd.  Some combos that would be possible that I really like.  Imagine getting 2 of these guys by trading down. Stark, Pierce Jr, Golden, Scourton, Grant, Emmanwori, Ezeiruaku, Umanmielen, Deone Walker, Harmon and this is just off the top of my head.
