If we have a 3rd or 7th who even step on the field next year ill be surprised.

Funchess barely can run the right route. Shepard is a gunner, Curtis Samuel needs to be within 6 yards maybe even closer to catch the ball. Ed Dickson has had 1 game. Greg Olsen may be close to retiring.

There is no tall CBs in our division to cover KB and cancel him out of a game. He was a weapon vs all of our division opponents and has made plays in those games.

Is there ... or was there a better sight than seeing KB jump over Trufant for 6?

KB is an invaluable weapon in the red zone. Not to mention we don’t know what the offense would have looked like with Olsen back in the mix.  I’m sure it would have looked a hell of a lot better.

KB hasn’t lived up to his potential but still his skill set is being a huge redzone target. Whether he lived up to his hype or not he was always going to at least be that.

The only silver lining here is that any questions we have about Devin Funchess will be answered now. If he’s the real deal then we’re about to find out. The raw tools are certainly there.

I thought those questions were answered in 2015, when he became a ghost behind Tedd Ginn and Jericho Cotchery.

People saying our offense will be better because "no more forced passes to KB" obviously haven't been watching the games this year. Cam has not been forcing the the ball to KB. He's only getting 6 targets per game and only has one game with double digit targets which was the game Cam threw over 50 passes. Comparatively, in 2014 Cam did force it to KB (9 targets per game).  If you think our offense is about to magically be fixed because KB is gone and Cam will "spread the ball more" you are just wrong.
