I'll say this the value we got for Kelvin was around the right area. Keep in mind guys yes he is probably worth a 1st round pick if he was on year 1 of his rookie contract. The fact is there is only 1.5 years left on his contract where .5 years is at 500k and next year is at 8.5mil. No one will give you a 1 or 2nd rd pick for a 1.5 year rental like KB. If there was maybe 3 cheap years left on his deal then you could argue a 1st-2nd round pick. 

I absolutely hate this decision tho. The value of the 3rd rd pick will probably not be as good as KB for 1.5 yrs. This sucks.

You should also remember that we had a speed receiver available to us, Ted Ginn Jr., that we no longer have. The only I would have seen this trade as a positve would have been if we pulled traded with the bills or with another team in a triple trade for a true speedster WR or a good Olineman. Trading Benji just for two future picks is something that a losing team that has no hopes for the season would do. I mean, jeez, we are only 5-3 and just barely behind the Saints for the NFC South.

Best WR Carolina has had the best half decade....was on that 2015 team. He isn’t on this one.  He kinda makes it work.  And while we should be able to find type role player.....he don’t have one. 

So without Ginn AND Olsen....what we trot out Sunday is nothing like 2015. 

And yes, over the last 5 years....freakin Ted Ginn Jr was the best WR we employed in that window .   He set up the pass game more than anyone.

Alot of people dont like this but im not sure its terrible.  Will free up 8.5 mil of cap space next year and gives us an opportunity to move Funchess to 1 and make Samuel our number 2.  Bet we will start to see CMC in the slot ALOT more often now as well.  Once Olsen returns that is a pretty nasty lineup. Pretty sure everyone on here has been clamoring for more samuel and more speed to make secondaries respect the deep threat.

Before we cast the entire franchise to the pit of misery, I think we need to give this a chance.  Personally, I think I might even like this move and furthermore, I think team will respond and we will smack the Birds Sun.
