Panthers just traded KB to Buffalo for 2018 3rd and 7th round picks

Found this interesting... quote from Joe Person's latest article: "Hurney said he expects Funchess to slide into Benjamin's former X spot as the lead receiver, with rookie Curtis Samuel moving into Funchess' vacated role at Z. Speedy wideout Kaelin Clay also could see more playing time."

That actually sounds quite appealing to me.

He didn't have to trade him for Shula to do that.  KB and Funchess could have easily rotated out and the other two stayed in.  It's not rocket surgery

It sure does. KB and Funch we basicaly the same WR, slow and inconsistant.

Hahaha Hurney Magic.  Does anyone expect anything different?  We are the Carolina Panthers after all.  When do we ever make the right decision? I.e  releasing Butker was another genius move.  What is the point of this trade?  How does it make us better.  It doesn't.  We are worse off now.  One thing we can see is that Hurney doesn't believe in this team.  If he believed this team had potential to do something special he would have added a key piece and not sacrificed a piece for virtually nothing of value.  I hate this franchise sometimes.

So do the Panthers from the GM to the coaches see more potential in Funchess than Benjamin?
