People were on the fence about a 3rd for Landry, but Benjamin is worth way more? I know he has an extra year on his contract but it sounds like he might of been gone this offseason anyway. This way we save cap space too. Just trying  to be positive about it...

You're not familiar with how Marty Hurney operates.

We are.

All reports indicate that this trade just happened last minute. Beane called Hurney, made the offer, and Hurney bit on it. That's it.

You wouldn't be in position to know this, but Hurney has always been a "seat of his pants" guy. He doesn't plan. He just makes it up as he goes along. That's one of the reasons why we never had consistency under his last tenure.

Im not anticipating anything will be different this time.
