How you figure a RB should produce immediately when some players are drafted. Vic Beasley on Falcons when he was a rookie in his first year he sucked but look at him now he is a player you have to watch your back with now. Not all rookies drafted will do good in first year on first NFL team.

Cause out all the positions RB have the easiest transition from college to pros. Look at the leading rushers in the league this year, look at the leading rushers from last season. It’s all rookies

Linville hit the nail on the head.  My sentiments as well.

I'm not disappointed in CMC but it looks like his role needs tweaking and we still need a true heir to Stewart.  He can get us a first down when we need it which is a great asset.  Just can't force it with his touches.

Yeah, it would be nice to have someone here that could actually use him to his strengths... Shula is going to ruin him or get him killed

The huddle will defend their great bright hope of a Running back.... in reality cmc is just a good slot WR. He hasn't broken a single tackle this season. There is good reason why the coaches don't see him fit enough to run between the tackles like all standard running backs do. He is quick not fast he is very fundamentally sound but he is not a baller that people hyped him up to be. He's not a tyrik hill, not Darren sproles, damn sure ain't a shady McCoy. He is a Julian Edelman clone. Y'all are going to stop being so delusional one day.

I agree..calling him a Edelman clone is a reach at this point tho. I'm not going to say McCaffery is a bust but if you follow the sport of football you will see that it is the Stanford system that made him so productive since Bryce Love is already breaking his records...it's not hard to see that pattern. I think he can make some plays at the RB position but he isn't the every down back the media was selling to the sheep. I sound like a broken record but it was a golden opportunity to trade down and get more picks along with getting a real running back and taking a better WR in the second (Smith-Schuster, Cooper Kupp, Dede Westbrook).

Good News is Gettleman is gone.
