I remember TD got really mad at a reporter who wrote that another player was being pursued for not making support payments or something like that.  TD and several other players let it be known that they didn't want the reporter back in the locker room.

That was Joe Person. The player in question was Brandon Lafell.

No not really. Journalistic institutes have the right to employ who they want. Freedom of the press.

Short of a sexual or racial scandal.

The First Amendment prohibits Congress from enacting laws that restrict the freedom of the press, and that is a generalization. It also doesn't say they have a right to remain in a press room or locker room if they violate the privileges of their press pass. They get revoked all the time, just not often enough at BoA.

Revoking the press pass of someone from the largest newspaper covering the Panthers is an awful idea. Teams have done similar in the past and it always go really, really poorly. The rest of the media who might even hate Person will still take it as a shot at their profession then they would all make the Panthers the enemy. I know most of you probably think they are already treated that way but the Charlotte media is a joke compared to the major markets where the claws are always out.

Doesn't mean they can't have a little chat with him, and since he probably takes up valuable time, it would not be hard to encourage some peer pressure. That's also been done...successfully.
