o line talent isnt the biggest reason why we are struggling to run

After watching games of 2015 to figure out how differently our offense  was i noticed defense respected us more because of GINN , who would have guessed that ginn was actually our most important wr ?  If you notice now the opposite teams safeties are playing alot closer because we dont have no one that can stretch the field . Yes our oline isnt the most talented but i do think its a lack of a deep threat that really makes our offense worse when it comes to running the ball.

Is clay the solution? or should we make a trade for a deep threat like martavius bryant that can help and that would be a steal if we can get him because everyone knows that man can stretch the field and he went to clemson so it could be a good coming home party for him. Other choices can be sammy watkins / tavon austin but idk if the rams that currently have the # 1 offense in the nfl will move players like that but they fit in with our scheme as a deep threat.

Then you got lower tier players like goodwin , robby anderson that can stretch the field , i hope marty atleast makes a move trying to help us out instead of us ignoring the problem like we always do and wasting another season .

I like the bryant idea somebody already known to stretch the field awesome hands. This will work everyone knows Cam is inlove with the deep ball.. until we get a wr that has the speed and has good hands Cam will forever be caring a shety offense. Why bc the current playcaller can't design or make play calls to adjust to our current offense skills. Its his way or no way.

Tons of teams are able to run the ball and have success on offense without a deep threat--losing Ginn is no excuse. And frankly, our offense wasn't nearly as bad as this year back in '14 without Ginn. We ran the ball as well as any team then. Ginn was definitely a good player to have here, but overpaying him didn't make sense.

Samuels is probably the fastest guy on the team. I know he's been a little injury prone to start his career, but he has played some this year.

It seems he should be the logical replacement for Ginn as the long ball threat.  You could play him at the X, Y, or slot spot and send him deep. You could even line him up in the backfield at times to give him a better release off of the snap.

Injuries aside, if he were on another team I believe he'd be making a bigger impact in his rookie season than he's had in Carolina so far. Samuels (like CMac) appears to be misused in our offense.

I still think it comes back to injuries and the remaining players on offense playing with trepidation and worries about injuries themselves -- as someone said, there are a lot of "business decisions" being made. There are some mighty big paychecks out there and a couple of guys bucking for their next contract here or on another team that don't want to mess up their potential payday with an ill-timed injury.

What it comes down to, sadly, is that they are playing like a bunch of poofs out there and they are getting their asses kicked. Football is a game of imposing your will on another team. It takes push and collision, it takes toughness and attitude. We've been playing more to the tune of "Do what you want to the girl, just leave me alone!!!"

Can't play scared, from the field to the coaching box. But we keep trying.

Good O-Lines can open holes even when teams stack the box.  I agree that we have seen more 8 man fronts this year than in years past, but for all 5 OL to be pushed back or completely whiff is inexcusable.  The problem starts up front.  Our guys are losing 1 on 1 battles.

It's become so bad that are guys can't even get to the LOS a lot of times because they're getting hit in the backfield.

Yep...there is zero push.  It almost looks like no one gives a damn.  We have seen Turner and Norwell destroy guys bigger than them in the past.  We know they can win those match-ups most of the time with no problem at all.  So why are things different right now?
