LOL, Saca said he didn't fit.  Oh how well we know he would fit us perfectly.  Shula changing the Offense for McCaffrey?  LOL.

We tried trading up for him. Gettleman knew who he preferred.  We didn't choose McCaffrey over him

Absolutely, Gettlemen should've traded up for him, like he should've traded a first rounder for Joe Thomas.  But, I'm sure he had help from Rivera in making those two decisions NOT happen.

I think he had more help from Richardson

I think the Fachalambardi is.  Saca isn't a dumb poster, he just makes excuses for everything.  Which could be worse.

He just needs to admit his hobby analysis just could at least be wrong. That would be respectable. No fan analysis of this stuff can be taken so seriously.

Yeah, fair point.  I don't think he's ever admitted he was wrong on anything.  Very good point.  Pie for you.

people are deadset on defending CMC. It's political at this point. No matter how badly he fails the eyeball test (and it's every time he gets the ball) people on here will blame every other facet of the team.

I'm kinda interested at what point they'd come around? Like what exactly needs to be around him for his poor play to be on him and him alone? "You can't judge him because he only had 4 all pro lineman blocking for him, and norv turner went to the bathroom during the game and missed a playcall and that really threw off his mojo."

The saddest part is even without all the negatives that certainly exist this year, CMC could massively improve and still just be mediocre.

Electro -what would it take for you to come around?  If he breaks off a 60 yard TD? 2 60 yard TDs? Seriously, when would he not be a bust in your mind?  What numbers does he need?  Be specific.

Personally, I'm glad we drafted CMC.  We recognized we needed speed on offense and a weapon.  I don't think of it as drafting an RB but drafting a playmaker, whether that is from the RB position, Slot, out wide, or as a punt returner.  The fact he hasn't had many chunk plays after 7 games does not make me think he is done.  I think he will get his.  Does anyone want to bet he doesn't have a couple of long TDs in the next 9 games?  I still think he will get 1100-1200 rushing/passing yards and around 1500 combined.  Those are pretty good numbers for a rookie in this system.

I do hate they are throwing him up the middle, but you have to do that sometimes to keep the defense honest and for play action to work.  Its not like he's missing holes, there are no holes.  We are losing too many individual battles in the trenches.
