I Have No More Excuses for Christian McCaffrey

Hoenheim

Recommended Posts

I’m not sure why people think he is a bust after 7 games. He leads the team in receptions, has an AVG 7.2 yards per punt return (more than Ginn last year), and is just about as productive as Stewart is given the dreadful o-line play. I’m pretty sure Fournette would be averaging about 60-70 yards per game behind this o-line. CMC is going to lead all rookies in all-purpose yards by season end...fact!

true. I'm still flummoxed by the fact that Shula just refuses to give McCaffrey pitches, stretch plays or even directional runs besides up the gut every time.

Most logical fans are willing to admit our O-line is horrendous, and that our coaching is a joke. But Why can’t Mccaffrey homer admit he’s been a huge disappointment?????

Before the season I brought how he’s to slow and and small to be a feature back, but all I heard was “err he ran in between the tackles at Stanford”. I brought the fact that anyone can run in between the tackles at Stanford in even 5’8 180 pound Bryce Love, they had no response but Gettleman knows more than you.

I saw Mccaffrey struggling on our team a mile ahead, it made no sense to draft him. And now we are force feeding passes that Fozzy could of done.

Not to pile on, again hope we’re wrong, but I saw multiple bad decisions on punts yesterday as well (after he nearly flubbed one earlier this year).  The decision to not field/let the ball bounce, and another decision to run to the short field into coverage instead of into space/trying to make a huge play.

Could have had Lattimore and Kamara.

Amirite?

We worked out Kamara as much if not more than Mccaffrey.

Last year I brought up a stat, every time dumbfug Butch Jones would give Kamara more than 10 carries a game he would average 9 ypc. If Kamara played in Stanford he would have put Mccaffrey numbers to shame

tbf if we did get lattimore at 8 and kamara later on I wouldn't have complained.

Could literally turn our secondary into a strength with Lattimore and Bradberry back there, and while I doubt Kamara would produce more than CMC, he'd get the job done. Oh well.

hindsight is 20/20 bro. If every NFL organization could see up to week 7 in the future before the draft occurred, Kareem Hunt would probably go #1 to the Browns.

The problem is we did very little to nothing to fix the issues from previous seasons that had our own j stew getting met in the backfield, what have we done to prevent teams from stacking the box ? hes being use correctly, cams completion % has increased but damn we are still relying on him to be the leading rusher, this o line issues has got to be resolve next offseason, even if it takes trading picks or players.  This is essentially what makes the cmc pick a luxury pick.
