I Have No More Excuses for Christian McCaffrey

329 yards. I mean he'd be our 4th most productive receiver last season if the season ended now.

Get the run blocking fixed up and maybe Jonathan Stewart and Christian McCaffrey will finally start producing as runners. Runningbacks can't block for themselves, and our run blocking has been very bad.

The disappointment in CMCs run production should be tempered by the fact that our primary RB is not doing much better.  The bigger issue lies elsewhere.

I don’t know how people can defend him after yesterday. On his first for run he got tackled by one fugging arm , on a screen pass he couldn’t make one LB miss, for fug sakes. He’s a terrible punt returner that looks slower than molasses.

I knew it before the draft, his combine was all hype. Bryce Love is 10 times better than him at Stanford, and Love won’t do squat in the nfl either.

Problem is I don't see how how the oline will improve this season. Injuries are mounting , and the performance is still quite simular through about half a seasons worht of work. So you're saying we're going to have to wait til next season or multiple seasons for us to make drastic oline /offensive strategy changes for McCaffrey to have a rushing breakthrough? That's not a sign of a good player, that's a sign of a career role player to be that reliant on everything around him to have any running success whatsover.

While I agree Olsen is missed you might be the dumbest guy on the internet, either you legitimately know little about football or are an alt troll

Sure buddy, I know more than you.

You might wanna enroll at Roger Goodell Academy and get you a Masters in Huddle Douchery  :)

Except posting the same two diagrams and spouting the exact same poo over and over proves you don't. Why don't you feed up to being an alt or troll and move on.

If Stew starts to have some productive games this concern with CMC as a RB should be revisited and undoubtedly will be.  Until the Panthers O line finally demonstrates it is capable of of keeping our opponent's D out of the backfield, the problem lies elsewhere.

CMC has not had a damn chance to get out of the backfield on 80% of his plays.  Has he made mistakes?  Yes, of course, he is a rookie for fugs sake.  Has he had a chance in hell at proving he was worth the number 8 pick with our oline?  Not a chance in hell.  When anyone besides Cam Newton's improvised, superman heroic plays is able to run the ball on this team...come find me at that point.  Until that time I am going to chalk up his inabilities to our piss poor and absolutely horrendous play designs / oline blocking.

true. I'm still flummoxed by the fact that Shula just refuses to give McCaffrey pitches, stretch plays or even directional runs besides up the gut every time.

He isn't an alt.. But he has alts. I think Sanjay is the main account for the nonsense

I am convinced that Barry Sanders would have problems running the ball on this team.  Something is terribly wrong and I highly doubt its C Mac

Are Panthers still trying to fix the run game?

Is the offense still having problem protecting cam?

Do the oversized WRs get overwhelmed by physical CBs?

This offense runs through the TE position &  offense want be back until that area is solved aka when Olsen is back or get Dickson more involved. I also post more than just 2 diagrams but those are my favorites!

Why don't you take a break from Goodell Academy Masters of Huddle Douchery Degree  and maybe put some time & learn some real football.

When his blood vessel almost burst getting 10 reps on the bench at the combine I didn’t think there was any way he’d be a top 20 much less top 10 pick.  To my horror he was our pick but I came around with the preseason hype.

I hope like hell we’re both wrong for many reasons.  Whiffing on a top 10 pick at this point would simply be catastrophic.

Could have had Lattimore and Kamara.

Amirite?
