WTF is this?

I pray that this is just a miscue by Daryl Williams, because if this play is designed for Manhertz to take on a defensive end there is no hope. Everyone on this board minus Sanjay knowns Manhertz is awful. Shula certainly knows this.

Also, if it is Williams at fault here, it is while Ryan Kalil is in the game, dispelling the myth that the offensive communication is just fine when he is in there.

This entire offense is just impotent.

Still better than Dickson leaving his man unblocked.

Also Shula is an idiot for leaving TE agaisnt a DT 1:1

Our offensive line looked better once Kalil was back out of the game.    Sorry, it's true.

I'm starting to think about how much money we can save by moving on from Ryan, he can't stay healthy.

In an ideal world/situation, at the end of the season we'd get a new GM and he'd hire his own head coach. They would come in with a fresh perspective on this team. If it were me, I'd say it's time to move on from Ryan at center. He's getting older and starting to breakdown. Even when he's healthy we still don't blow people off of the ball. It's apparent already that Matt is not worth the money he's being paid to play LT. I'd just go ahead and release him too, even if it hurt us cap wise for a year. Darryl Williams is a mediocre RT at best. Norwell doesn't deserve elite guard money and can be replaced rather easily. The only player worth keeping would be Trai Turner at RG.

Since we invested a 3rd round pick on Moton last year, I'd start him at RT (maybe even LT if he could do the job). Williams is still under contract for next season. He's a strong guy so I'd move him inside to replace Norwell. He wouldn't have to worry about speed rushers anymore and focus on run blocking. If he didn't pan out there you could let him go after the 2018 season. I'd draft (or sign a FA's) to play LT (or RT) and Center.  If they later 2 positions panned out I think we'd have a solid O-Line heading into 2018.

Of course Shula would be gone. Having a good play caller would mask some of the weaknesses of this year's team. I can only imagine how good we could be with a good playcaller and  a strong offensive line.
