well, I watched the first season of Fear......and the smell of zombie blood masking live humans is a pretty consistent "rule" established in TV land in both shows.

That's just what they're assuming.  It's not like there have been any scientific tests. I'm under the impression that the zombies can't actually smell.

Yeah I was thinking Negan will incorporate walker blood in bullets as well. Not that it'd make too much of a difference, I mean getting shot with a regular bullet in the walker apocalypse should be bad enough with no hospitals and what not.

And yeah, if getting walker blood in your system was a death sentence, it makes those episodes where they covered themselves in guts look pretty ridiculous. Also wasn't it established with the Terminix folks that eating walker meat had no effect?

My god that Hilltop slo-mo "Carl's Dead" montage was something awful. I was racking my brain trying to figure out why they were so upset, was it because Daryl and crew crawled through a swamp for no reason other than it looked cool? Because they lost Dwight? Oh, it's because Carl died like five years ago. These writers are fugging dumb.

Wait, I missed most of last season so I assumed that baby at Hilltop was Maggie's....but apparently she's STILL pregnant (and not even showing a little)?  Jesus what the fug are they doing.

 

They went through the swamps because Dwight knew how the Saviors set up blockades. He clearly said that the swamp was considered too dangerous, so the Saviors wouldn't go there. But... they did because deus ex machina.

Also, only something like 3 or 4 weeks have passed since they met Negan. I know it was almost two years ago, but show time moves at a crawl. That's why Maggie isn't showing yet.

As ridiculous as some moments were last episode (Rick miraculously separating Negan from his gang using a Ford Explorer, Rick again not shooting Negan when given the chance), at least some interesting things happened to actually move the story forward.

Simon's "We are Negan" showed exactly why he shouldn't be playing Negan.  It was the only bad scene I've seen from him.

If Walking Dead is setting up the time jump and moving us to the commonwealth - I am fully supportive of this - we need to break this cycle of same crap that has driven raitings down.

Quantum Leap the Walking Dead. sounds like some kind of movie of the week.

I like that after having your compound attacked you can settle down for a nice hard sleep and not notice zombies literally falling down the steps.
