I would love examples. The guy is clueless. The only time I can recall him pressing Ron is on Luke's concussions, never about coaching decisions. I say this without exaggeration or hyperbole. I truly believe Joe Person is the single worst beat writer for a major newspaper in football. With that said, I loved him going after Shula on twitter last week during the Eagles game. Too bad none of that was translated to the Observer or post game presser.

It is there job to follow up on his BS and go after him. Write critical articles and hold him accountable for his mistakes. 

If any reporter wrote anything that actually criticized the real root of the Panthers ineptitude, which goes as high as poor ownership, Jerry Richardson would assure they wouldn’t be covering the Panthers much longer.

There is nothing I have disagreed with you with so far, but my question is why is that acceptable. In what other market is that happening? What other markets are you not allowed to criticize the franchise and coaching staff? He can't fire everyone. He can't completely cut off access for the fans. This is where Mike Persinger needs to sack up and earn his job title. He's a huge problem at the Observer.

Joe is a buffoon. But I will grant you that he does ask questions nobody wants to here. Unfortunately the questions he is asking aren't the right tough questions, but random things which don't really matter all that much. Nobody in our local media directly questions the abilities of this staff.

I agree. Has there ever been a piece in the Observer that questioned Shula’s ability as a playcaller? I don’t think have ever seen one.

It’s not acceptable. I wish the staff was held accountable. Richardson doesn’t allow it. He basished a reporter to the nascar circuit for criticizing him once
