Gettleman left us with one last “FU” this offseason

He didn't just ignore the secondary, he destroyed it. Never forget that Gettleman let the two best cornerbacks in the team history walk without offering them a contract.

Mean while in NO:

A lot of folks on here had him above CMC for the draft. It would be nice to see Him and Bradberry back there together.

So did I imagine Laurence Maroney being drafted in the first round by New England? That was the same year they were paying Corey Dillion $6,000,000.

Hell they double dipped on RBs in 2011 - 2nd and 3rd round.

How long ago was that? Look at all the scat backs they have had through the years not one high draft pick

Are you changing goal posts now?

Pretty sure you said

NE would never waste a high pick on a RB

Pretty sure I provided examples showing otherwise.

Further, do you realize they've only drafted one offensive player in the first round this decade? That was Nate Solder. Then they drafted two running backs in the next three picks. Before Solder, the last time they went offense in the first round was a running back (Laurence Maroney).

If your reaching that far back might as well go back 30 years.

To put it into perspective, the patriots have used more early picks in QBs lately than RB. They don’t care about guys like Mccaffrey when they can get White in 7th round or Lewis as a free agent

So what's your definition of "never"? Apparently while the current head coach, GM, and QB (edit: and offensive coordinator) were in place is WAAAAY too far back.

You were wrong. Leave me goalposts where they are. You look dumber by moving them than by not knowing what you're talking about in the first place.

I guess you never heard of an exaggeration to make a point , your reaching so far back that when Dillon played that Brady had never thrown for 30 TD in a season and was pretty much a game manager.

Even at the end of it my point still stands.

Brady had already led the league in both passing touchdowns and passing yardage at that point in his career. He already had been named Super Bowl MVP twice. He had three world championships.

If you thought he was a game manager in 2006, I have no words to describe your ignorance. While I am interested in seeing whatever other alternate facts you post, I'm putting you on ignore so I don't lose what little faith in the Huddle I still have.

You mean he led the league in TD when they missed the playoffs. Brady was a game manager who mainly relied on his defense, running game and great kicker. He never even sniffed an all pro team before 06, never passed for 30 TD, never had a rating over 100. His numbers are night and day before 2006 and after 2006. His first six seasons are almost identical to Andy Dalton
