CMC vs Kamara

There was someone here who swore up and down every time his name came up before the draft that he was terrible. Either a disgruntled Vols fan or a gruntled SEC fan but certainly some typical sec absurdity going on

Yep, I remember that too. That was just a stupid take too because Kamara vastly outplayed Hurd all year. Kamara made explosive plays every game, yet people were doubting his athletic ability? The dude is legit and electric. Great value in the 3rd for the Saints.

As it stands CMC is our most reliable offensive weapon.  I see him getting open, finding holes in the d, and answering the call every time his number comes up.

For the eleventy-seventh time, this offense will never flourish to its potential with “Don’s my daddy” Shula calling the plays.

Preach.

KC has an o-line able to open holes for Hunt. Saints have a decent o-line with a coach who loves RBs with Kamara's skillset.

Carolina has an atrocious o-line situation that likely did slow CMC's learning curve, considering he barely even had an inch of room for the most part.

10 games left this season. Ryan Kalil back means more holes will likely be open. Let's reserve our judgment until calling one of our better offensive weapons a "bust"

I didn't mention anything about Kamara or the Aints in my post, or the OL or schemes of any team. And do you see the term "bust" anywhere in my post? You make these ridiculous blanket statements about how Hunt and Kamara (who I won't discuss right now, so let's stick to Hunt) couldn't do any better than McC here. One major advantage in current skillset Hunt has is tackle breaking ability, which would be enough to make him do better here. McC can be worse than Hunt right now and not be a bust, so don't try to equate saying Fournette and Hunt are better than McC and McC being a bust. It's ridiculous.

I liked Kamara pre-draft but he has a history of ball security problems.

Maybe he has put that behind him.

Why not give Sameul some touches from the backfield?  KC does it with Hill and we need to get him involved.  Gotta get him going.  Samuel and CMC in the backfield together would have some nice options.

especially whens hes getting so many YPC. I mean, why the fug not since our running game has been failing?

McCaffrey has been used quite a bit in the 2minute offense. That means he's getting 1st down yardage and getting out of bounds. If he got more touches in say the 1st quarter.... he would have the option of the entire field to evade tacklers. I can think of many times he correctly darted out of bounds to stop the clock.

Those teams throw a lot. It's been reported in more than one spot that Teams are bringing eight and even nine people in the box against us.

Our coordinator refuses to change. If you have eight or nine people in the box you throw period. We don't and push our backs to run against that and think anyone else would do better.

That's fantasy football again ruining how people watch and understand the game.

if we had an Andy Reid or a Sean Payton making the play calls then we would throw until the box opens for running.

Just saying-- others would have the same or worst stats.

We picked 2 weapons in the draft...get them both the rock.  Over and over.   I have defended Shula, kinda but open it up. Or just let Cam call it.  Cam knows this league by now.

Cam is a hall of famer at QB right?  He must be close, a Super Bowl win seals it.  Be such a waste to waste it.
