In Hindsight, Still Think Keeping Gano over Butker was a Huge Mistake.

If we can't even trust him to kick beyond 50 yards anymore I don't think you can call him one of the best in the league.

He’s made 15/16. That’s among the best in the league.

Call me when Butker kicks a game-winner against New England in Foxboro.

Yeah, let's keep the older and more expensive of the two.. The one that has proven to not be as clutch anymore and who the coaching staff doesn't trust to kick from 50 yards out. Good decision, hurney

Given he made a game winning field goal in Foxboro and is 15/16 (the one miss being a long kick) I’d say we’re doing fine. Tell me again where Butker missed from?

If you're happy with mediocrity and with an overpriced kicker that's let us down many MANY times in the past, that's on you bruh

Who knows what that ratio would look like if we had brought him out to attempt those 50+ yarders. He's even still missing XP's. Amongst the best in the league right now? Ehhhh, about average at best really. That's just the truth man.

To be clear, I defended Gano here throughout his struggles for a long time. But you can't deny that as of right now he is still shaky.

This is my thing. It feels like the coaches don't even trust Gano to take 50+ yarders. It's almost as if they're protecting him from himself. Trying not to let him lose his confidence.

I say all this, and acknowledge coach did let him attempt one 50+ yarder that he had no business attempting. The one he should've attempted they said no.

Definately mediocre to make a game winner in Foxboro and be making 94% of kicks so far. Definition of mediocrity.

Well to be fair Ganongas lobbied some of those kicks and have made them during warm ups. Not his fault our coach is chicken poo

Yeah I don't think Rivera is helping with his confidence either. If you're paying a kicker top money, he should be out there attempting those kicks regardless. If he continues to miss them then you move on. Protecting him from himself is just prolonging the inevitable. But that's such a typical Panthers move.

Hurney cut the guy Gettleman drafted. It was a no brainer for him

Butker has a damn bomb in his foot. The guy is going be the best kicker in the league soon.

Hurney sucks. And it sucks for this organization that JR makes warm feel good decisions to bring him back, instead of the cold business choices that the good teams make.
